Concept: Interpretation of Art
The other day I was talking to a resident of Wisconsin who was having a happy birthday, but was fighting a bad infestation at outpost 23 that was surely not a zodiac thrill, when something entered the basics of my brain... What ever happed to the Escher park cBass was making? Well know we have our answer as cBass emerges from the darkness to release it with Escher Island!
cBass is a legend of RCT and part of the reason for that is this very park.
Years ago, not long after he had Wisconsin released over at RCT2.com as there
first ever VP, cBass posted a screen of what at first glance appeared to be a
very nice elevated waterfall, but after taking a better look people let out a
collective "wtf!" cBass had done perhaps the most clever thing in RCT to date
and created a amazing optical illusion first used by the late great M.C. Escher.
The waterfall is amazing, but cBass has many other Escher tricks up his sieve in
this park like; the "asending/decending" steps, "the three spheres" cinemas, a
great grayscale corkscrew coaster called that takes it's name from Escher's "day
and night" and even a cBass Gorilla that can't seem to decide which pavilion it
wants to live in. Fantastic work cBass and I am very happy that after all the
years of wondering when this park would be released it has finally surfaced here
at NE.
