NOTE: This park has since been "de-WWized" and reuploaded so that those with only regular RCT 2 can open it.
Iris once said that no WW park would ever win an NE Spotlight. Well,
Meretrix proved him wrong with Disney's Tilted Acres. And now, Iceman
joins the ranks of parkmakers who have won something using Wacky
Worlds. NE is proud to present Iceman's Disneyland Park, a larger than
life (almost literally) theme park modeled after the Happiest Place on
Earth!
We begin in Adventureland, with the Swiss Family Treehouse, perhaps
the most amazing fake tree ever created in RCT, and definitely the most
amazing fake tree I've ever seen in RCT 2. The details are all here,
from the amazing vegetation to the stairs used to climb up to the
little waterwheel... this is definitely awesome stuff, and it
highlights Iceman's strength: structures-making.
Moving
on to Fantasyland, we have Sleeping Beauty's Castle, an enormous
structure brimming with detail. The color scheme, patterned after
Disneyland, is gorgeous, and once again, the larger scale of the park
allows Iceman to put some amazing detail into the towers, turrets, wall
facades, and moldings.
Iceman then brings a new themed area patterned after the events on
Bald Mountain in Fantasia. The centerpiece of what I liken to "Dark
Fantasyland" is Night on Bald Mountain, the replacement for Splash
Mountain that sends riders down a steep finale amidst an overgrown of
dark, broody buildings and dead trees.
Discovery,
in my opinion, one of the best areas in the park. It looks great with it's metalic hi-tech, yet brightly colored facades. One thing every tomorrowland must have a is people mover and Icemen brings us a great one here with it's gray, blue and yellow colors. There
are many nice touches, like the little Astro Orbiter spaceships
anchored to an exploration station with a telescope sticking up. Off
screen is the legendary Space Mountain, patterned after Disneyland Paris's
version.
This shows FrontierLand, one of the very nicely architectured areas
of the park. Iceman pulls off the theming, architecture, and atmosphere
100% perfectly, and these buildigns are great proof. The big one on the
left is the Saloon, and the one on the right reads "Silver Spur". He's
got an interesting version of Big Thunder Mountain in this area as
well, though I'm not quite sure I agree with it...
Finally,
we come to Main Street, the Plaza Inn (I think). Main Street is vital
to a great Magic Kingdom park, and Iceman nails it here. His Victorian
architecture are very Meretrix inspired, but he retains his own style.
That, combined with the detail available through the large scale, makes
Iceman's architecture, arguably, even better than Meretrix's! And
that's saying a lot!
So congratulations to Iceman for his fine achievement!
Now, when I first uploaded this park, it was made from WW. Fellow
RCT geniusTyandor has since been kind enough to replace the WW scenery
with RCT 2 scenery for Iceman, so now anyone with RCT 2 can open it!
Take care to read the ATTN file I included, however, because it
includes some Amazing Earl rides that may not have exported correctly.
The file will give you exact links on where to find the rides, in case
you still get object data error messages.
