Anyone remember last Christmas at NE? We had two good Parkmakers win Runner-Up with small park maps and one of them was an impressive young Parkmaker called CedarPoint6 who captured his RU with a pirate theme called “The Black Lagoon”. Who would have guessed that now exactly a year later I would be posting another park by that guy we have now come to know as “CP6”? Well an NE Spotlight, Parkmaker spot and design later he is back with a wonderful winter design called Blizzard!

I think this marks the first time a 4D coaster has won NE Design and this 4D is truly exemplary. The layout is nearly flawless; the pacing is great and it the seats even rotate in all the right places! The atmosphere is also very nice as CP6 immerses us in all things ice with details like a ski course and lodge, ski slopes and even the flat rides get in the spirit with names like "Frost Bite" and "Deep Freeze". Now you may be looking at this park and thinking CP6 is slipping a little skill wise. However, this design was started over a year ago as the objects used clearly show. All things taken into consideration, this is a wonderful NE design that utilizes one of the best coaster concepts there is to near perfection. Great work CP6 and I think I speak for everyone when I say that I can't wait to see what you do next.
