Thanks Lloyd. Wait... why did I just thank Lloyd? Maybe because he just barely beat disneylhand in the first round of Micro Madness and took 'dlh' out of the running, which gave him some free time to... oh, start planning a joint NE Design attempt? Lucky for dlh, one of the judges was a huge fan of his losing entry, a fan to the point of saying it was the best of that entire round of 64! Now 47 days later, dlh and that MM judge have finished their mind blowing realistic joint design El Encierro!

In my opinion, this is the best NE Design ever. It is like a non-"sloppy" Phatage park with Xcoaster's details and atmosphere like we thought only SA could create. However, this is a joint design by geewhzz & disneylhand. It can't be too much of a shock to see either of these two winning NE Design. gee won two in 2007 (Kindred & Salga) and disneylhand also captured one (Hunchback). Their collaborative efforts are really amazing. I am not sure exactly who did what, but I think gee said dlh did a lot of the buildings. The best of the buildings is clearly the entrance which I would say is the greatest piece of architecture I have ever seen in RCT. The realistic details on it and in this park are just on another level, mainly due to the skill they are all executed with. El Encierro itself is basically flawless. I would say the only knock on it is that it does not really give us anything new on a B&M invert, but no matter. They still get major points for making a perfect B&M. Not only does this park have the amazing realistically Mexican-themed coaster, it also has "Roca de Gibraltar" which is one of the best rapids rides ever. The "narrow track" rapids is pure realism and I don't think I have ever seen it before and have definitely never seen it done this well. What really puts this park over the top is the extra 'little things' like the frozen ride ops, the net behind the immelman, the spare coaster parts docked in the staff area, the hacked trams that help give people the impression this park could be larger, and there are countless other things you will find as you explore El Encierro.

Now, it should be noted that this a joint NE Design, which iris did ban following the lone joint NE design win by myself and JKay (X-Men). However, as I have repeatedly said, I am not iris! I like the idea of joint designs and will give the makers both credit. Also, even with how amazed I am with this design, dlh will need to produce something solo and significant to gain an NE Parkmaker spot. I think it's needless to say he's now beeping very loudly on the NE radar now and what can we say about geewhzz? He seems to be Phatage's heir-apparent...
