At New Element we like to think that we're a community of many nations, and this superb park proves it. FreeRider is the only Korean member so far to ever grab an accolade at New Element. Having conquered the Korean community by being in the Top 5 RCT2 players, it's been his dream to become famous here, and he is well on his way to doing so. A few days ago, he won Silver with his wonderful park Holy Ground Of The Dragon and just days later he steps it up a notch, capturing a Gold Accolade with his mind-blowing park The Island.

The Island is a creation of pure fantasy, which is a refreshing change to the endless realistic parks that seem to be gracing the front page. FreeRider brings us a high level of RCT skill in an incredibly detailed park which, even after viewing for hours, leaves you wanting more. Clearly one of his strong points is landscaping, utilizing quarter-tile landscaping to sculpt this tropical island, and create the center piece for the park, an enormous rocky mountain. Throw in some well placed waterfalls and foliage, and you have a beautiful setting for an out of this world theme park. Whilst the island may not be amazingly large in diameter, instead he takes height and uses it to his advantage, including much more than a normal park of its size. By having these changes in levels and height, he is able to hide half the park from you when you first open it, adding an element of surprise as you change each view and see each side of the island, picking up more and more of his level of skill.

The first thing you tend to notice upon entering the park is the ginormous structure to the left of the mountain. Packed full of detail, this extremely tall building brings you right to the top of the park's ultimate thrill machine, Vertical Drop Roller Coaster. Plummeting down an extremely tall drop, Vertical Drop Roller Coaster speeds through tight turns and helices, that would have all realistic parkmakers wincing in pain. The interaction with surrounding scenery and buildings gives out such an immense atmosphere it makes us wonder if all Korean parkmakers build like this.

What's most enjoyable about this park, is seeing a fresh new face appear on the RCT scene, creating an awesome piece of what can only be considered as art, leaving members, old and new, in awe. We can only hope that more Korean members will grace New Element with the awesomeness that FreeRider has. We only found out about the Korean community a few weeks ago and I'm sure I speak for most when I say, we are already wanting more.
