Stunning. Nothing has had me clamoring to boot rct2 faster than this. Only complaint is the surroundings are a little under done but the coaster is a work of art.

^Yea, great work on that Dave!
And ofcourse great work on this louis, insane ride. Its amazing how I can look at the screen and see nothing but a huge wooden coaster and all 6 trains (like on the first screenshot).

Will you do a 48 way dueler?

All this park made me realize is that I can't find my RCT2 disk. There's a lot to be said for that.

Brilliant. I just spent about 15 minutes staring at it going around; the timing is amazing.

The custom supports are most outstanding, I might use the same concept in the future instead of using the original rct2 wooden supports.

    Awesome Louis. Loved it.

Love the way the maximum drops vary from 108ft to 44ft :p thats a big difference

You can find bigger duelers on the 'net. Here, you can find a 9 track dueler by a guy named Lunatim. I think Lunatim is a member here. I'll say Louis has the best theming, though.

When you dumped a pic of this, I thought "Man, I hope that is a triple dueler with different colours on the trains", just because the thought of a sixtuple dueler that works and looks aesthetically pleasing was hard to get into my mind. But that's really what you did: Six coasters racing against each other with really nice timing and interaction, and it looks great. Only downside for me was that due to the inevitable huge amount of track in close proximity, and the colour of them being brown, it was a bit too... Brown :p It didn't leave much space for surroundings either. But what was there was clean and elegant. The station was lovely. Looking forward to more from you :D

I didnt realise this had been posted until I looked up at the banner! Thanks to the rel prep team and acolade panel for voting and doing the prep so quickly, this new system is just so much more efficient.

Thanks :) didnt realise my work could have that effect. and yeah, i agree that there isnt much there and it is under done, but thats because i didnt want to make the design too busy.

    That logo is fucking outstanding!

thanks for the comments on my design bitch :p

thanks, so you do like my work sometimes :p

cheers, glad you like it. and no thats wayyy to much. it was a struggle to get 6 to work.

All this park made me realize is that I can't find my RCT2 disk. There's a lot to be said for that.

thanks, means a lot. shame you cant find it, but as long as you can find your LL disk :p

    cheers.

thankyou, a lot of time was spent doing those tedious supports.

    Awesome Louis. Loved it.

haha yeh, i wanted to link back to Emperor with the double down, but then wanted the other side to do something different. glad you like it.

Yeah and that 9 track dueler looks unpleasant. The point of this wasnt to get as many tracks dueling, otherwise i would have kept on adding tracks and it would look an awful mess. The point was to get something unique and aestetically pleasing, whilst being somewhat realistic.

Haha! Yeah I was concerned over how it was going to look. I've been wanting to do a 6 tracker for a long time and have had a couple of failed attempts at it. But I finally got a layout I liked and was pleasing to the eye. I'm looking forward to more from me too :)

what i liked best about this was how at the beginning the trains looked almost like water drops rolling off the track in a way. great effect. overall though, i felt it was just a little messy and chaotic. of course that's no wonder when you have 6 coasters. i kinda couldn't get what wme said in the testing pm convo out of my head, which was "there were no real duelling moments. the coaster couldn't but duel".
  • J K%s's Photo
Wow. The overview looks chaotic which is right up my street. Can't wait to see this.

You know we're running out of ideas when someone goes and does a dueling coaster going six ways.

Very impressive Louis. I would have liked to have seen more in the surrounding area as well; you had a great coaster name to fit a potentially awesome wild west theme. Not sure why you went all rural/farm on us with it. Regardless, you made something to be proud of, dude! Well done.

looks like a mess of awesome.

Louis your insane... and I could not be happier about it :mantis:

Great work on the layout and awesome custom supports, that must have taken a while. Would have liked to see a little more theming, but that can be tricky on wooden coasters and the basic theme here did not really need it.

Also as of now that logo is getting my vote for logo of the year... even over V-Keys, doubt Dave will mind :p

It's a really great exercise in executing an idea or vision on a large scale in the game, and for that you should be commended.

On the other hand, I have to ask what the point is? I mean, to me, a six-way dueller is so far out of the question of reality that this realism/semi-realism approach doesn't really suit the concept. So on an abstract level, I have issues with the coasters because the style you chose suggests that the actual implementation of such a ride would be too sprawling, messy, costly, etc.

try something other than a wooden rollercoaster next time, kay?
    awesome design :)

Mmm.. I wanted to get back on that myself.

    Here is what I said:

Kudos for trying, but ehh.. I'd really much rather see you perfect two duelling/racing coasters, or possibly three. This is just one big bunk of wood, there is no way you can follow six trains, they don't do anything special and they seem to duel because there are so many of them.. it would be hard not to make them duel. It would be much more interesting with steel coasters, actually.

I'm sorry, not a very useful comment but since you're about to release it anyways I just wanted to say what I think you're better off concentrating on!

Cheers though for something unconventional :)

I looked at the coasters again, and I see more in it than then.
Some fun races and it switches between which trains race which in the beginning. There is some thought to it, but to me, it's honestly not managable enough to see what which train is doing.

    So to get this straight:
Two trains go off and race each other, of the other four trains, three start out similarly, and actually the one you let go first isn't the one to race the grey train?

It's an interesting concept, but to me it looks like a mess. I really stand by my opinion that it would be much more useful to try and duel two more interestingly, or three, or four, and if you have to go for six I think steel coasters would have been easier to follow. Then again, I think it might be even harder to make that work aesthetically. Now it somehow works as one gigantic bunk of wood! :p

It is very inspirational to see someone try such a feat, though, and I also believe you succeeded!
