This was great in every way. Great coaster, great theming, great atmosphere, great details and a great great great easter egg! A little masterpiece in my opinion.

I like the element after the Dive Loop - is it inspired by Cheetah Hunt?

Seems kind of old-school, which I like. Loved the easter eggs as well. ;)

i get the feeling the coaster was built around the walkways, when it should be the opposite. almost seems as if you were experimenting with architecture and whatnot, then decided it looked ok, and decided to build a 'cheap' coaster around the edges.

pretty poor really. even the 60% i voted seems high at this point. the ride is an afterthought. you're better than this.

^it is true that the ride was built after I'd finished the rapids layout and some of the archy. however, its not like I was just experimenting and decided to build a design, I set out from the start to make a design, and the architecture came from that. but as for the poor quality, I disagree :p

thanks for your nice comments though, glad you liked the easter eggs :D

and really thanks for all the people who helped in the accolade panel/ release process, so that would be everyone who voted (regardless of score :D) sssammy for the writeup, 5dave for the logo, liampie for the screens, and posix for the map (I think its funny how you still included the big cocoa letters :p)

I liked it... reminds me of old RRP/RoboParks/Pyro Penguin stuff. And yeah, that Cheetah Hunt thing was pretty sweet.

I really enjoyed this. I didn't think it felt like it was built around the path at all. What I was impressed with was some of the buildings over buy the dive loop. Fresh and Original and something I would loved to have thought of :p

I agree with Roomie, it doesn't feel "cheap" like RMM put it. Although I can't see it in game because I don't have LL, I really enjoyed the unique layout and what architecture I saw from your work thread.

As for the Cheetah Hunt element--- if Cheetah Hunt was never built and you created this, I almost 99% sure that there will be people saying "What is that? I don't like it, it's weird, never seen it, it's not realistic, etc." I wish more people would experiment with layouts and create "unique" elements like the one in Cheetah Hunt, WITHOUT having a precedent in real-life for them. Same goes for many newer elements from coasters such as the Maverick and the roller coaster themed to Hard Rock or something (non-inverting loops and very, very unusual layout; most people would trash a layout built like that IMO as being unrealistic and not aesthetically pleasing).

I thought this was really clever. Not amazed by the layout, but the surroundings were absolutely brilliant. Fantastic work Cocoa, you really are a fantastic LL player.

It was on of the first times that I regeret not having ll. Really good stuff in pretty much every aspect of the game. but, I would love to see some rct2 work from you aswell.

    So true!

I agree to Liampie in every point.
    Just awesome!

don't get me wrong, the architecture and surroundings were very nice, but they don't complement the 'design'. and this won a 'design'. to me, with a great design, the surroundings are actual surroundings of the ride. you're still one of the best LL players here cocoa, but for me the ride comes first and that gets the majority of the vote.

    it has 0 atmosphere :(

very valid point there. although I would disagree about people disliking it if it was unprecedented, as it has sexy curves and would still look nice (especially if it followed the terrain instead of being elevated, it would be not that unusual).

once again thanks for the comments, and rK_, haters gonna hate :p

To me, the design had no real relation to the works of Lovecraft besides the tentacles.
I just wished you would have developed the theme a bit more. This way it could be renamed to 'Octopus' or 'Kraken' and noone would notice. The architecture was just pirate-ish somehow and a bit too happy and generic to me.

I liked the unique layout of it, but I was dissapointed by the theme. The interaction was nice and the rapid ride was cool too. All in all looking back on this I would have voted a bit lower, but congrats nontheless!

I am really surprised over how people are being so strict on this. Cocoa, there's some really useful feedback in this, if you filter away the hate! :)

I actually think he developed the theme quite well, especially compared to all the other parks I've been seeing on the site over the past few weeks. Yes, a certain level of "decisive cohesiveness" is missing, but again, that really, unfortunately, is the case in most any park today, and this still had some logic, sense and narrative to it. He had nice little indicators to help people recognise what it is they're looking at, like the wrecked ship, albeit a pretty old and standard indicator for pirate, sea, travel on ship kind of narratives, or, the tentacles, which are a pretty unmistakable and thus clever design choice.

What most impressed me was the usage of the medieval scenery huts, as the way he employed them is unique and creative.

I'm really happy we're still having LL releases like this and I hope this won't be the last we're seeing from you, Cocoa.

I've seen this more frequently lately and it's kind of annoying for two reasons. One, because I'm not sure that submissions are receiving the scores that some panelists really think they deserve. If you're looking back and thinking that you possibly should/would have scored it differently, then maybe you should spend a little more time poring over it before submitting your vote. Which brings me to the second reason that this "trend" annoys me. I always take extra time to evaluate submissions before casting my vote...which often results in not being able to actually cast my vote because the prerequisite 15 have already been submitted. Some will surely say that this is my fault for taking too much time...but, I can honestly say that I've only looked back and thought my score might have been off once. And, that was what caused me to spend a little more time evaluating every submission thereafter. So, when I read other panelists saying that they might have been off in their score and I know that I didn't get the chance to vote because I took extra time to make sure of mine before casting it, it kinda pisses me off.

Just wanted to get that off of my massive chest because it's been bugging me.

BTW...I didn't get to check this in game because ever since I re-installed RCT and RCT2, I haven't been able to open LL parks for some reason. I did install (and uninstall and re-install again) the Drexler so I can't figure out WTF is wrong.
