I really like that one. The buildings aren't very spectecular but well crafted and good looking. I particulary like the station of the coaster. The whole park has this relaxed atmosphere. The simple architecture of the buildings helps this impression.

I like the layout of "skyline" though it's nothing to spectecular. It fits very good with the rest of the park.

Overall I like that one much more than "Castello dal Mare" and would say, that you should stick by CSO, rather than struggle your way into NCSO.

not too shabby, congrats on two accolades in a row. a bit outdated but I'm sure you know that, and it was pleasent enough. I'm a bit architecture guy so I would have liked some more accurate or realistic buildings but I guess they did the trick. The layout really shined here though, it was excellent and fit in well with the general landscaping

'It is always a momentous occasion when an NE member achieves their first spotlight. Today, longtime member Ling joins the prestigious line of accolade winners with his warm and calming design, Skyrise.'

HAHA BITCH I GOT HIS FIRST ACCOLADE WRITEUP ALREADY DFBGJSDSDFSD.

I'll edit with a comment on the park in a bit.

I liked how you design better.

I really liked the layout and the landscaping, and the interaction between those two. However, I did not like your architecture. I didn't really know the purpose of it and you used the same roof type a lot. Congratulations though!

^This guy clearly knows what he's talking about. Faas said it all. :)

Nothing groundbreaking nor jaw dropping, but very decent and design worthy.
I'm a huge fan of those landscaping. Imo, landscaping is the most important things for a park but most difficult to pull of well, I think you have a talent of that. Congrats on first design Ling ;)

Yeah, architecture is my biggest issue, always has been. And the reason it's on an older bench is I haven't really wrapped my head around the new ones. It's just more comfortable to build on last season's. Thanks for the comments everyone.

So the Logo says Skyline and the Writeup says Skyrise. My Quality Control Editor is turning in her swivel chair.

I pointed it out but it wasn't changed.

It also says it's a spotlight, and then goes on to call it the wrong name multiple times.

Wanted really pulled out all the stops for the writeup.

EDIT: Oh, and nice design I guess. See that building with the bell tower thing? Yeah, I HATE THAT BUILDING. SO MUCH. JUST REALLY HATE IT.

EDIT 2: Why does the logo say it's by "In:Cities".

EDIT 3: Ling and I are friends, guys.....it was sarcasm....

^Thankyou for coming along to the site and disrespecting the work that people put in so that these releases can happen.

Next time use your brain and realise that people put in their own spare time to produce write-ups so that inconsiderate people like yourself can read them.

Christ, what is this site coming to recently.

    Pumpin out one after another?
    Congrats on another accolade.

Ling included a logo in the zip file, so I messaged him asking if he would prefer me to design him a new one or to upload that one for him, since as a logo designer, I have the ability to do so. He stated that since his friend designed it for him, thats the one he wanted.
So I didnt design it, just uploaded it. I did however clean up some of the lines, since having to rescale it messed with the quality.

I assume that you are either the friend who did the logo, or just a random dick who happens to really care about this release for some reason. Either way, screw off.

Ling as I said before, I really enjoyed this submission. You've improved greatly, and it truly shows. Absolutely fantastic:]

Few things - I wrote Skyrise 4 times, but wrote Skyline once. No idea how I did that
I also wrote SPOTLIGHT instead of Accolade.

Sorry, Ling! I'm confused why it wasn't fixed, but this is entirely my fault!

    Really awesome design, Ling. :mantis:

I had skimmed over the write-up and thought you meant "when someone is first in the spotlight". I didn't notice Skyrise/Skyline though. It wasn't fixed because we can't edit write-ups until the park is released.

Wanted, could you PM me an update so I can fix the write-up perhaps? The first line also says it's Ling's first accolade although he just won one recently, which of course you had no chance to know when you wrote this. Other than these more or less irrelevant errors you have a nice writing style and it confirmed my intuition that I wanted you for the job.

Ling, I thought this was okay. I felt this was a bit amateurish in places and could be more refined and have more intense atmosphere. What I really liked though was how you made such sizable height variations work well by finding a good compositional balance of things. Looking forward to see what happens after you hit an RCT epiphany because I sense macro-level-play talent in you.

    I've fixed it.
  • Wanted%s's Photo
    Thanks Louis and Posix.

Anyway, now that we are past my stupid mistakes...let's focus on the beautiful little ride Ling made. This thing is so fresh dude!

Thanks guys. Yes, Scott is the one who made the logo. And he has an unusual sense of sarcasm, don't worry about him (the bell tower was his damn idea).

Also I know it wasn't exactly the most diverse overall, but how many more roof types would be "acceptable"? I played around with others but they started to feel inconsistent.
