I request everyone to take a look at Mythos, and please leave a review to reward J K's and wheres_walto's hard work and the Hurricanes' decency to submit a park when not much is to gain. They did it for you.
From the overview it looks absolutely epic, I'll give more comments later.
Also, shame on you Dogs. You could have sent something in. Surely putting up a fight for the bronze is better than nothing?
Dogs: Well that's a damn shame. Not very classy to not honor your opponents with as much of a match as you can come up with. Then again,... you kinda hinted towards not being interested in anything but the 1st place a couple of times before erm?
Guess that whole 3:06 attitude is lost by now, since it seems you've lost most of your pride.
Nice park Canes. Some good architecture and whatnot throughout, I'm pretty sure I can guess one builder at least. I really liked how there were rocks and stuff in the blackness, that makes a really cool fading out effect that makes the park sort of stand on its own as more than just a model in space. Very artistic and cool. My only real problem with the park is that it just didn't have much atmosphere to hold it all together. It was rather bright and cheery, but beyond that there wasn't much to hold down an atmosphere. I also feel like it didn't feel especially 'Greek', and a bit generic looking. Also, I don't like the clouds

J K and walto, I'm gonna edit in a full review of your park, looks like great fun from the overview!
and you may be an admin or not but if you're so frustrated about actually hosting this and don't see the fun in something like we did you might not be suited for the job. I think you've been very short tempered towards some people lately and sometimes very unneeded...
Anyway, let's not waste time or energy on the dogs for being a no-show. And I don't give a crap about the "we want to finish it after H2H without a deadline and to a good standard". We all know that won't happen (see last H2H).
Ou guys did an amazing job for getting this done to a great standard imo. This is really the hardest to complete, knowing it doesn't really matter anymore competition-wise. I'm not really into the fantasy style of our park, but I love the theming and ideas all over the map. Especially like all the creatures and mythic symbols in the park.
As I said in our team forums, I hope both Walt and Jonny had fun building this park still..
Also, it feels good beating the Dogs asses twice
About the park... Yet another fantasy park that I love on first sight. What is it with you people suddenly releasing fantasy parks that even I like? Or perhaps I've become more open-minded, I don't know.
I'll give it a closer look soon!
NE needs a serious injection of humor and optimism, if you ask me...
For starters ,too bad the Dogs didn't submit 'much'. I've read the reason why, but still..
Hurricanes: Nice park, little chaotic i.m.o. I would probably get really lost there if i was a peep. Demigod is a nice ride, i didn't like the supports though, some where even missing ,also on the minimouse coaster. The architectural style is not my taste, but it is nicely executed ,alltough it felt a little rushed in some places. Didn't really care for the 'moving clouds' or 'lost souls' ,just didn't feel right ,even if it's a fantasy park.
I loved the idea of the stormclouds with the lightning and also the 'evil' looking serpents , really nice touch. The mystical 'robot' with the piece of land in his hands above his head ,as it is ready to throw it ,is also funny.
The underground section is a nice idea but maybe a little unneccesary, i also quite liked that black wall with the 'lava' falls and the some sort of evil face in the middle. The boatride was also fun. But the 2 water rides where boring, sorry.
I did miss peeps in the park.
But adding peeps might have made this park really laggy (if you know what i mean).
I hope i wasn't too harsh ,i'm trying to be honest.
First of all, we did not forfeit this match. Plain and simple. We submitted a "park" (which, by the way...had more thought and effort put into it than plenty of accolade submissions that I've had the privilege of scoring) that was, for all intents and purposes..."finished".
While it's true that we'd decided, upon seeing that we weren't going to make the final, to finish our intended finals park to it's fullest possibility instead of rushing it to make a deadline...we did actually pour an enormous amount of work into a 'replacement' park for this match. We even had a couple of ineligible guys contribute to the park...just so we'd be able to submit something decent for this match. And, as BG said, during the process we encountered a black hole. After giving his all in two of our RR matches, Cena just completely lost all motivation for this and basically disappeared...so we had no one available to fix the black hole. So....as I was into about my 8th straight hour of building on the night before the deadline, I started thinking about how I was going to submit our park...even though it wasn't close to being finished. Do I credit the guys that built but were actually ineligible, thus getting a DQ? Do I try to say that me and Drunky Mac built everything on the map and hope that no one calls us on it? Do I just give all 10 of our guys 10% credit on it and get DQ'd?
As I was building and debating how to submit....I started thinking about all the trash I talked for the last four years and how it all was about to bite me in the ass....and thought "Man, karma is a bitch" and how that black hole (it was actually the day prior..not 2 hours..to the deadline) was some kind of sign.
So, instead of sending in an unfinished, basically ineligible park...I spelled "karma is a bitch" out with land tiles, covered the whole map with blackout tiles and called it "The Black Hole". I figured at least some people would assume that it was some kind of concept and think that there was shit beneath the black tiles, click "see through scenery" and have a little laugh with us.
So, it wasn't a "joke" as much as it was a statement. And something that I thought everyone could have a little fun with "along the way". But of course posix, who has no sense of humor whatsoever, can't see it that way and assumes that it's some sort of rebellious act on my part and refuses to even post it.
Go figure.
