Layout is great Maverix, but the rest was just 'missing'.
Should've been something more to see besides the layout i.m.o.

I personally thought that this was one of the best entries, had I voted on this I would have voted the higest out of all of them. I appreciate the bareness of it, the layout was outstanding as was the support work and architecture. It was all top notch, I can't wait to see more work from you this year, I hope you are as productive as you have been previously because I am now a massive fan since your last few releases. You have the ability to go very far.

I think with a little bit more filler foliage you could have increased your score, made it into the top 5 and even grabbed design. A shame you only got 6th place with this. Unlucky.

This was really one of the best so as far as quality is concerned. The buildings all made sense and were really well designed and interesting to look at, the invert's layout was really nice and the igloo was clever. But I think the trend you will get with comments about this is that it was just to small and lacking in substance to get past that 65% mark. A lot of things felt shortchanged, the foliage around the ride, the queue line, the pathing around the bottom. Just a bit more context and this would have been in.
I'm quite sad that was lacking.

The layout was easily the best so far and I imagine arguably one of, if not the best in the entire contest. The color and texture selection was likable as well. The foliage was a bit lacking, but isn't want hurts the entry most for me. The biggest thing was that I couldn't zoom out without finding a bunch of land that wasn't black-tiled out or just left alone. Old-school LL designs were almost always a nice area with a ride in the middle of a blank map. RCT2 designs started off the same way but since the advent of the black tile they've usually been customized to size using that.

Regardless, most of the problems that this entry has are NOT systemic so much as a lack of "fit and finish". I imagine it would've gotten a design-worth score had you had another week or two to finish up the details.

This one was great. Awesome little Batman on steroids layout with a lot of thought put into the landcaping, architecture, and foliage (or lack there of). The map just had a really cold feel to it, which I assume is what you were going for. Excellent job, Maverix. .

I feel like Maverix is just so close to being one of the best players out there. Just keep trying dude, your releases keep getting better and I respect your determination.

Thanks for all the comments/advice/praise guys, I really appreciate it.

I'm taking a small break from playing the game really seriously as i've got about 6 weeks until SEC's (swimming) and I'm trying to put my attention towards that and school. That and I'm a bit lacking in inspiration atm as I draw it manly from visiting real parks but I'll be going to Carowinds over spring break in late March so that should pick right back up then.

Maverix I loved this. It's a shame I didn't get chance to vote because I'd of voted it at 75% maybe that might of pushed it up to design, I dunno.

I loved pretty much everything about this. I love that you build for the coaster first and foremost which I think shows.

The only thing I didn't like about the whole entry was your brake run. I hate to see coasters that have funky shaped brake runs like the one you've got going on here, it's a personal preference. You seem to love doing it though I've noticed in a few of your designs :p

The architecture was very nice and the landscaping gave it a very cold feeling like people have said already in this topic.

Looking forward to more of your stuff dude!
