It was the major lagging of the animated objects that held this back for me. I felt the layout could have been better and the foliage too. I was a bit disappointed with this and felt it was a step back from you, however the architecture is really nice, it was just a bit of a standard theme with a standard layout, and this combined with the lag of the game didn't make it sparkle for me. Looking back I think I possibly should have voted 55% instead of 50% but I dont think it would have made any difference.

Thanks Louis!, too bad it wasn't that great for you, i'll do better next time.

Pierrot, be patient, The Doomed Domain was a partial masterpiece.
Something like that isn't done in a few weeks, well at least not in my case.

But wheren't those iceskating peeps special?
As well as the lighted christmas trees?
I've made those myself, wich was quite an effort.
I thought this would be a hitter, but i was wrong.

The execution of this design...i don't know, i've lost track somewhere.
Maybe i shouldn't have spend so much time creating those objects.
I think it killed the inspiration and motivation for the design itself.

Something like Doomed Domain will come up again though.
But at this moment, i'm not inspired or motivated enough to do that.

Maybe i'll impress you in the future. ;)

I actually loved this! Keep up the good work dude!

^^ Well... if you loved it, why didn't you vote me higher eh? :p

I'll keep up the good work, a nice dueller coasterdesign is under construction. ;)

I saw the ice skaters and loved it and that's all really. The layout kinda sucked though. And so did that flat ride.

This is the first "conventionally good" entry in the contest (FYI I love Ring A Ding Dong, but it's not conventionally tasteful, let alone good). I think the practice of using " - " as a ride name need to change. You named the rides on their entrance signs, but yet never bothered to change them on the rides themselves. :(

Anyway the SLC was okay. The layout was a bit choppy and lacked flow but it was well supported and the station building was really well done. The toboggan coaster was also alright. The animated object lag might've been with the Christmas trees and skaters if that was all that caused that... hmmm... I also loved the architecture throughout. It actually looked like the kinds of buildings I've run across up north, or at ski resorts, or the like. The color selection was also pretty solid though the snow landscape + snow trees made it a little overly whited out.

Still, a solid attempt that with better coaster layout(s) and a smoother frame rate would've had a real shot at the top five. You're clearly one of the best up and coming players right now. Don't lose heart!

Too bad you didn't like the layout Austin55, it's based on a custom slc somewhere in china (don't know the name right now).I personally thought it was a nice layout, but hey...i'm still learning. ;)
Nice to hear you like my first animated creations. :)
    Thanks for your reply.

@ Ride6 : Thanks, i admire your reply, so smooth and motivating. :)
The lag might have been caused by the animated trees and the iceskating peeps, i've experienced the lag also. But some of the recent h2h6 parks also had lag, so it shouldn't matter i guess. Very compact parks (with animated objects) always tend to lag.
The names of the rides was done on purpose actually, big mistake.
I didn't want to see the name twice at the entrance and decided to remove the name from the ride, my bad.
I've been studying the pictures i could find from Rovaniemi, Santa Claus Village and created my own.

You can expect more from me.

    1. I hate that puke green color that you used for half the roofs
    2. It was messy
    3. I hate SLCs with a passion :p/>

PS: There's a lot more that went into my reasoning, I just went with the main reasons why I didn't give it 65 or higher

I think this was pretty solid.
The reason why i voted it a bit higher is that you created those animated objects. I think they made a lot of work which i want to reward. The trees were not that good but i really liked the peeps on the ice. Without them i would voted maybe 65. I also like the SLC, i love this type of rollercoaster.

@ Wanted : Haha, i was just joking with you, you know.

The green rooves are supposed to be like that, if you google rovaniemi, then you'll see.
The architecture and the coloring of it, is quite accurate compared to the theme i was going for.
I agree that it was messy, i'm still learning to apply a better cohesion.
That you hate slc's isn't my problem. :p

Edit: @ Jonny93 : Thanks that you rewarded me for making those animated skating peeps, they wheren't easy to create, you've got that right. Too bad the trees wheren't as impressive as i hoped to be, those where even harder to make though.
Unfortunately, there are different opinions about the slc, i also thought it was good. I'm glad you liked it.

And ofcourse thanks for making the maps.

Btw. I'll probably make more items in the future.
New objects, decent ones, are always welcome i guess.

For the ones that are wondering how i pulled it of to make those animated skating peeps.

I've deconstructed the iceskating rink from AE with ridemaker.(that's why i show gratitude towards him in the object name).
I've copied the images and used object editor to turn those images into animated skating peeps.

I think this was a winner the custom made stuff was very good and the layout was fine As far as I could see. And I had no lag on my machine great work you will always get my vote. :mantis:

Sorry Arjan I like all the new objects you created and I appreciate the time it takes to make things like that, I guess very long but the lag killed this for me like Muuuh's Zelda entry. I find it very hard to watch a coaster. It's pretty unwatchable for me so looking at peacing is pretty impossible.

The start of the coaster was alright but I didn't really like the ending with the dive loop.

The architecture with the green rooves, the larger buildings, were really nice though.

No need to be sorry, i'm more openminded nowadays.
    Thanks for your reply.

Maybe i'll impress you in the future though. ;)
