Warner Bros. Reel Adventures by aero21
    ThrillZone Amusement Park by JKay
Two Shades of Pink by BchillerR

We have a great round of three RCT2 runner-ups this time around. Aero21 continues his dominance of consistent quality parkmaking to New Element with his latest release; JKay makes his official debut at New Element with his highly anticipated quarter-tile using fantasy land, and BchillerR shows everyone that boys can use pink too and still look cool. Great job to all you guys, a great way to set the table for all the happenings as of late...Awards & Pro Tour coming up? Hold on everyone.

    hehe. nice.

"2 Shades of Pink"- sorry, i really didn't like this one.

"Thrillzone Amusement Park"- Not bad. I really despised like every coaster, along with some theming, but there were some really nice parts in it as well. Such as the piraty architecture near the mine train. It's a shame the coasters weren't flowing very well, and that orange gave me more of a headache than i'm having now.

"Warner Bros. Reel Adventures"- Almost spotlight worthy. Awesome coasters, awesome theming. My favorite part was the classical Aero entrance. I really liked the 4D too, and the superman ride was nifty (tho too bad there was nothing to be seen) I'll be looking at this one again.

2 Shades of Pink didn't really do much for me... once you'd seen one building, you'd seen the best that the park had to offer. The steel twister was ok - it's batwing was really nice - but it was let down by the pacing on the out and back section of it. The fact that there were only 6 rides in the park didn't help, and obviously its monothemeing and park size as iris pointed out. It's very distinctive though, and it's always good to have an original style.

Thrillzone I would rate as slightly better, I love the huge diversity of themes... but for me it's too cramped, more so than your current work. I just really think your parks would be 10x better if you used slightly wider paths, at times less tall buildings, and more intricate foliage by paths. I think working on a map bigger than 120x120 might help as well. Don't get me wrong though, I loved the park, and your 1/4 tile detail is awesome, especially the custom signs. I think the orange area was perhaps a bit too much, even with this style, but it's such a bright park full of promise that I won't complain.

Reel Adventures was my favourite of the lot, and it probably wasn't that far off winning spotlight. If I was to try and say why I didn't like it up to spotlight quality... I'd have to be very vague and call it, at times, "scrappy". A bit cardboard like... nonetheless I loved the park, the coasters were all awesome - The One and Krypton Escape were both very enjoyable (good idea for the latter) and the themed areas stuck to their films well. It's good to see a larger map being completed in rct2 as well. As WME said, I'll definitely look at it loads of times in the future.

I didn't like ThrillZone so much. Everything in it was too random and I thought the coaster design was generally poor.

However, there were a few things I enjoyed in aero's Warner Brothers Reel Adventures. First of all, I loved the buildings for Titans Clash and Batman: The Ride. The idea for Titans Clash was interesting as well, I guess that'd definitely increase hourly loads. The concept for Superman: Krypton Escape was interesting as well. I didn't really how the tower was executed though. I think it should've been more like Top Thrill Dragster. I dunno, it just seems like it'd be very uncomfortable going up like that. Also, I loved everything about Joker's Fun Fall, except for the fact that it didn't work. I think you should've spent the time to get it to work. :p It would have really been something. Finally, I really despised the lift and drop for Lone Star. I like the LL look much better...having the lift and the drop at the same angle just doesn't look right at all. Overall, a job well done aero.

Areo, my jaw was dropped the whole time I looked at your park.
Damn would I love to visit this park in real life!
You and Phatage are really the only ones where I get an idea what proper RCT2ing means.
    Awesome job.

Great runner-ups this round. Aero's work is consistently beautiful as always, and JKay's work is fantastic for his debut park.

I believe this is BchillerR's second runner-up, so congrads to him, I've been keeping quiet updates of his park, I still remember the days he wasn't 'too hot' and owner of the club "RCT: ORC" (official recreation club?).

    Good job guys.

I get an empty folder when I try to Download Aeoro's park.  Anyone know why?

    Me too someone, someone help!!!!!!

I can only suggest downloading it again? I dunno.

BchillerR - you need to vary your buildings, but you've got the coasters down. Just be creative!

JKay - crazy, fun. Practise coasters (I didn't like any of them), but keep the rest just so, cos it's great.

Aero - nice park dude. Especially the comic and terminator areas.

They all ran so slowly and took so long to load that I ended up losing a bit of patience, so excuse the short comments.

    i too can't download aero's park.
2 shades of pink doesn't really interest me, as it looks boring, imo, so, i don't know if i'm gonna download it today, but maybe when i get bored.
i'll look at thrillzone when i have time later on today.
i really wanna see aero's park though, it looks amazing.

I thought more than half of Two Shades of Pink would be considered non 2x2 architecture. That was a main goal I was aiming for. For instance, the entrance and all 3 coaster stations were much larger than 2x2. Those screenshots on the page show most of the 2x2 architecture which I think really isn't used that much through out the park (only like 4 or 5 buildings are 2x2.) In a way I think my style has changed. I think I have a little more of a cleaner, more tidy style which is hard to explain. Basically, I'm trying to say is that the patterns of the buildings (I think) look nicer than that of Destination: Xtreme. On another note, the map isn't of great size. It's only 100x100, but it took me a little more than 3 months to complete, building and scraping many things and trying many ideas. All in all, I think the total was 42 RCT2 years. The water however was a way of getting out of more work. When you don't have much of a theme to work with (a color...), it's hard to come up with ideas and ways to theme buildings and rides so they vary more, which is my fault. In my next park I'll be going back to my usual skateboarding, etc. themeing. Anyways, much effort was put into the park, it wasn't rushed or anything. Even though the people above didn't seem to like it, I hope some people like it. One last thing, I think that the park looks much better in the game than it does from the screenshots because you get to see all the surroundings inwhich with the colors creates sort of a nice look.

Heh, their was also a logo nemesischris made me, which I guess Iris didn't like (heh), but it's included in the download.

Jkay and Aero21, the screenshots look amazing, both parks look very nice. I'll comment more once I get the chance to check them out in the game.
