I feel like this is going to be a controversial submission as far as accolades go.

I would rather you have submitted this as a park. Seeing as it's a design where the coaster is basically an afterthought and not the focus of the map. To me it's kind of hard to give it a high score as a design for that reason.

It's well made, but not fitting for the design accolade in my opinion.

Great archy and surroundings. A bobsled will never be a particularly interesting coaster and i wished there was another good tracked ride here to beef it out though... hard dilemma between high quality work but it's not really much of a design

Well, there have been non-interesting coaster designs on this site, so i thought it would fit the design accolade. Might be that the definition of a design has changed... Mainly because it's one-themed and there is only one coaster, i think it's too small for a park, so that was the best i could do in the cathegories NE has.

I'm curious to see the voting process, but it would be nice if that wouldn't dominate the comments for this submission!

I voted on this as a design rather than based on the quality of the work. I think the actual work on the map is good, but as a design, it's not a great submission.

I think this is design worthy, but only barely because it's an awkward collection of great content and half-assed stuff that is less than the sum of its parts.

Some of the archy is great, around the canal. Great stuff. Good use of pink walls too. The street leading to the coaster station is pretty bland to be honest. The domed building, among a few other things, looks very unrefined too. The transition from 3x3 square to dome roof is just poorly done. The coaster itself I like a lot, but the backstage area underneath looks very cramped and the roads are glitchy. The concept also confuses me. There's nothing Enrico Dandolo about this except 'Venice' and the ride's name!

All in all, I think it would've been much better if you kept it on the multiplayer map.

I'm not gonna get tied up too much in the semantics of what a Design is.  This is 70% work and it's one coaster with a surrounding area, and that's close enough for me.

Very nice! While there's nothing particularly wrong with the coaster (though it could have used some diagonal support pieces), it's probably the least interesting part of the map. I feel weird considering this a design since the focal point is probably everything but the coaster, but hopefully it wins anyway since it's accolade quality work for sure.

I think this could've benefitted a lot more from being an actual themed design instead of a park cutaway (which it is) with a lot of backstage. Still, this doesn't detract from the high quality of the layout, buildings, and surroundings. Certainly Design-worthy in my opinion, but not that high of a score. 65-70% from me.

I think this little design showcases some serious skills! Obviously you have a basic coaster design, but what you did with it is quite nice, fairly well supported and a decent station. Plus seeing a different style of coaster for a design is great. But the work you did with the archy with some of those buildings is fantastic, it has a lot of well-placed details. And perhaps one of the hardest parts of the game is nailing the foliage in a park, so you've done very well in this department. Good mixture of trees, bushes, grass,... it looks quite organic (though those dark brown trunks look out of place). You've got a golden park in you, can't wait to see you build on a larger scale project! Design worthy in my books. :)

Aww, so close to design! That's a pity, really.

Tough break... "Vogelvallei" this and put it in the park and get it the accolade it deserves. It's Accolade quality work, it was just hurt because the coaster was kind of an afterthought.

Full scale park with this as an area is already in the making!

Of course i'm a bit disappointed about the voting, thought that would be a close design, but well, i will carry on and work on doing a park out of this... stay tuned!

I'll wait until i will react to all the comments btw, but i will surely answer you all, i always appreciate criticism, since that would really help me in my future projects! So please, say what you're thinking about this!

Look on the bright side bro, 6 out of the 10 panelists thought this was accolade worthy, you're obviously doing something right! :D

This is clearly mis-submitted and thus suffered in score. Has some quality though. RWE, you need a breakthrough in your style. Wait until creative juice flow and then milk them. I'm looking forward to it.

So clearly some people voted on quantity vs. quality and I don't think that's quite right. Granted the screens are the communities thoughts and not the panels thoughts but I still believe this one should have been at least a design. but a 55? That just seems way to low.

That just seems way to low.

That's why we have a panel rather than one person deciding what wins and what doesn't.

That is true, but why the 55? Because of the lack of content? or because the of the quality of the content?

Because as a design, I thought this was worth a 55% vote. 'Design' doesn't mean 'small section of a park' to me, it means 'Large showcase ride heavily interacting with it's surroundings', which this did not do.

When we start voting for things not doing their primary function, we end up with Donald Trump as president.
