JKay continues his dominant debut at New Element
with his second runner-up in two weeks, this time a super runner-up
alongside "Nascar Experience" and "Vales of Crypt". Definitely a step
up from JKay who improves on almost all aspects of his parkmaking. He
improves his theming, his architecture, and even his coaster skills in
this park...although he still finds the drawback of having little
organization. Still, in a park that has one general theme and is on a
bigger map, it's not as big of a deal here. Plus the individual ideas
are executed beautifully, he really has an insane imagination and knows
just how to translate from his head to the computer screen. Doing his
best to interpret the city of sin, Las Vegas into RCT he adds all the
necessary pieces, from Circus Circus to the Hoover Dam. Amazing park
JKay, although I still think you should take a little more time between
parks.
The
first screen shows JKay's amazing re-enactment of the Hoover Dam.
You've got to love the way he uses the quarter tile blocks so perfectly
to create the damn effect. You can also see the coaster that invades
the dam, "Odyssey of the Barrier". This coaster has it's positives and
negatives in my opinion. For one, it's a crazy ride that would be
absolutely mind boggling in real life. I can just imagine riding on
this B&M steel monster and seeing the dam straight ahead, and
pulling a cutback to avoid the wall. On the other hand, the coaster is
sprawling and all over the place, which detracts from the beauty of the
dam....so it really all comes down to your preference. Beauty or
thrills, either way...take your pick.
Here
you can see the eye popping "Fraktal Factory' Virginia Reel coaster.
Look at that non stop barage of colors. Reds, blues, purples, yellows,
oranges, pinks, and more, all thrown together...but somehow looking
like they all fit together. That's not an easy thing to accomplish so
kudos to JKay on that one. I love the way he has the Reel snaking it's
way through the colorful factory...in most cases the coaster actually
looks like theming until you realize it's the actual ride. I couldn't
imagine a structure like this in any other park, because I doubt any
other parkmaker would have the balls to build it. Awesome job though.
Finally
you can see the unique "Lunar Excursion" coaster, a Premier LIM coaster
that flies over the rocky martian terrain. It's a nice contrast from
the rest of the park, which is filled with flickering lights and bright
colors (just like the real city). The ride has a great layout, probably
the best in the park and the hi-tech Martian architecture looks
absolutely flawless. Amazing park JKay...I really love the way you
incorporated all those glittering lights into the park...you really
captured Las Vegas more then anybody should be able to in RCT, and for
that you should be commended. Awesome job JKay...I really have my mouth
watering over what you'll be building next.
