Portrait of Heaven By CoasterForce Added on Saturday, 16 June 2007
CoasterForce has been one of NE's lesser mentioned rising forces, but lately, he's been showing some definite promise, and he continues this solid work with Portrait of Heaven, a simple but pleasant park with five nice themed areas harkening various exotic locales.
Circle of Horror, located near the back of the park, depicts all things dark and evil. Within such confines, The Antagonist, a sort of Nemesis-type invert, powers its way through seven quick hitting inversions, each coiled and intense. Diving in and around a small, craggy mountain, this machination pulls riders through a boomerang before going through a twisting, compact dive loop that heads immediately into a batwing. Coming out of this quick tangle of inversions, the coaster levels out before finishing off the short layout with a zero-G-roll and a vertical loop. Nearby, guests can lounge around in Murky Valley Rapids... if they don't mind what lurks in the shadows...
In Bald Mountain Village, a nice woodland mining town opens up, revealing Bald Mountain Express, a sort of family terrain coaster that cruises along at a nice clip topping out at 42 MPH. Intertwined with the wooden coaster is the Bald Mountain Flume ride, with its 59 foot final drop and an interesting lift mechanism to get the logs up there. This is certainly a taste of what CoasterForce can do, and while this area, like the other themed lands, is somewhat small, there are definitely little moments that are fun to discover.
Finally, there is the apparently ArchAngel-inspired Cliff of Tomorrow. Blasse name notwithstanding, this may be the best work of the park. The rocket coaster, Revelation, blasts riders from 0 to 79 MPH, up a 190 foot tall top hat, and through a sprawling tangle of track that traverses over the shops that line the area. It's a minute and a half of madness, that's for sure!

With this park and his somewhat recent Pro Tour qualifying entry, CoasterForce seems to be poised for continued improvement. And unlike some people ( *cough*ME*cough* ), he's actually completing parks, so that's always cool!
