Six Flags Hoosier Station By Titan Added on Saturday, 16 June 2007
With clubs like the RCTMasters and RCTUltimate, there seems to be yet another group of parkmakers working together and picking up some pretty talented parkmakers in the process. kRuCmTbCa, the guy behind parks like the runner-up "Dimensions" has urged his friend Titan into submitting his excellent, realistic RCT2 park into NE. Seems to me like there's a new team in the playing field now. Six Flags Hoosier Station is one of those customary RCT Six Flags parks, where it's usually too realistic and too boring to really enjoy...But this is RCT2, and Titan really made sure he took full advantage of all the extra things possible in RCT2, and in the end his park came out pretty damn nice, even for a Six Flags fantasy park.
Here we can see my favorite ride in the park. Sure, it's not the most to look at, but accuracy is what I'm aiming for here. With LL, a great "Mr. Freeze" ride was virtually impossible. The 90 degree drop, and worst of all...the Top Hat made things incredibly complicated for anyone who tried. Then, RCT2 came out, with rides that came equipped with top hats, and 90 degree drops, yet nobody tried to make a great Mr. Freeze ride...until now. Very accurate, and very cool I must say. Runs smooth as hell, excellent job here, a great addition to the park.
A rather simple screen that still shows off two of the park's E-Ticket Attractions. The main thing in the screen is the "Vertigo" Dive Machine coaster, a very realistic Dive Machine with a similar (if not identical) layout to Alton Tower's Oblivion. You raise, drop through the 90 degree drop, into a tunnel, a large sweeping turns raises you back above ground, and you quickly return to the station. Then there's that thing in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, the "Hurricane" Hyper Coaster, featuring some incredible speed, a TON of airtime, and 10.13 Excitement ratings. You're gonna wanna wander over to this area of the park.
Now a close-up shot of the park's wooden coaster, "The Hooser", fittingly named. It's about time Indiana has itself a world class amusement park, and I guess...who better then Six Flags to produce it. The layout is a bit iffy in some spots of the coaster, yet it looks really nice from some angles. Really long as well, great ride experience, just seems a bit "amateur-ish" in places. Not to worry though, there are tons of excellent rides to check out that I haven't even mentioned yet. Of course, no Six Flags park is complete without "Batman: The Ride", a very unique "Bugs Bunny's Burrow Bouncer" coaster kept me interested for a while for some reason, and "Pyro" is definitely one of the more themed Floorless Coasters Six Flags has to offer. Nice job Titan, and welcome to NE.
