Superior Amusement Park

It’s nice to see an up and coming
parkmaker not only get one runner-up with Korsareian Valley, but to back it up with a second full size park earning
the same honor just eight months later. JDP backs his first runner-up with his latest creation, Superior Amusement Park
& Resort.A quant park with the
whole family in mind as it’s sure to meet the needs of everyone who visits.
In this first screen, we start out with MaX Loop
(Schwartzkopf 1988) that features a nice and compact coaster yet it packs
plenty of excitement. The addition of
the custom catwalk and unique supports shows that JDP had a clear picture of
this ride and executed it very well. From
this screenshot, you can also see the traditional amusement park feel that it
carries through out the park.
Here you see the signature woody called Superior Cyclone
(2007 GG, LLC). A great out and back
woody that skirts along the lakeshore throughout the run. This coaster packs a ton of head choppers and
zig-zags along with decent airtime in the 91 sec ride. Although the coaster layout is solid, the station
work on this coaster is perhaps the best in the park as it really gives that
classic woody feel to it.
This final screen shows perhaps the signature coaster in the
park, Cain: The Return. This B&M
floorless scream machine is one the kiddies need to avoid. The initial drop and massive first loop is
placed where those waiting in line can see what it is store for them in a few
minutes. The second have of the ride is
full of tight turns and interlocking corkscrew that holds it speed quite
well.Definitely a must ride for any
coaster enthusiast.
All in all, a nice park with traditional amusement park feel
and good coaster layouts. If you were a
fan of Korsareian Valley,
then you will like SAP&R as it has a similar style. That’s said, there’s still much to improve
upon if future parks are to get to that Blockbuster or Spotlight accolade.I have no doubt that if you keep working at
it, you may see your park take it to the next level. Congrats on finishing a second full size park
and earning yet another runner up.
