Lots of people say that NE's current Parkmaker roster is inactive and idle...and for a few months now (with a few exceptions) that might have been true. So who do we turn to to break that streak? How about the most consistent NE Parkmaker of all time, aero21, a former Spotlight winner, former Runner-Up winner, former H2H first pick...he's done it all...not to mention winning the first ever RCT2 Spotlight with his park "Aero's Wormwood". WB's Reel Adventures is aero's follow-up to that park, and while it didn't quite garnish the Spotlight crown, it's still a step up from Wormwood. Taking some of the best movies around and translating them into rides and attractions...you'll find rides based on The Matrix, Terminator 3, and much more. Definitely one of aero's strongest showings...as he makes his fourth appearance in the Runner-Up area (Paramount Diamond Creek, Disneyland Mid-America, and Six Flags Wild Planet proceeded it). Congratulations once again aero...who also has another RCT2 park right on the heels of this one...so let's see if that one can get to the next step.
The first screen shows the awesome Terminator 3 area of the park...and more specifically the T-X coaster. Painted in the same scheme that the T-X's outfit was from the movie, the T-X is an insane launched fourth dimension coaster with a sprawling, impeding layout and some terrific elements. It's my personal favorite ride in the park, which is saying something since I didn't particularly care for the ride's screens back in the advertising stage of this park. The custom supports are perfect, as is the layout and paint scheme. In the background you can see the large T-2 Shootout, which is themed to the second Terminator movie, where you'll battle the T-1000 in a target-delivery haunted mansion.
Here you see a complete change of pace as you witness "Titan's Clash", the Premier Liquid coaster in this park. Aero has always been a great designer of liquid coasters, as he really uses the ride's building to his advantage. Decorating the front of the building perfectly to create the illusion, and then adding strong architectural balance to the rest of it to perfect the look. It's very reminiscint to Sea World Orlando's "Journey to Atlantis", and that happens to be one of the best water rides in the world, so it's in good company. On the left side you can catch a glimpse of the simply named "Twister" B&M Flying Coaster, as an impressive series of inversions is pictured.
Finally you see one of the most unique rides ever delivered to RCT2. The first ride built in the entire park, it's still the most original. While it may not appeal to all people, the concept sure as hell should. Mixing Cedar Point's "Top Thrill Dragster" with Islands of Adventure's "Amazing Adventures of Spiderman" to present to you..."Superman: Krypton Coaster". The ride starts out as a full-motion adventure ride, as you move from room to room battling different enemies along the way. Each room brings a different challenge....but they all serve as a warm-up to Clark Kent's final test of the day. Eventually you make your way to the escape tunnel...only to get blasted at superhuman speeds up the gigantic Rocket Coaster spire. Amazing ride concept with even better execution. Great job aero21, and congrats on yet another very solid park. While certain parts of it don't show the effort or imagination as areas such as Gotham City, The Matrix, or Terminator 3, the entire park is completely enjoyable, an Aero Design trademark.
