Wasted Years
Twisted's coming out party as a Parkmaker comes with one of my favorite runner-ups we've had in a very long time. I promoted Twisted to being a Parkmaker on a hunch sort of, before people really saw all that he could do, and at the time many people questioned my thinking. Well, proving me 100% right, Twisted comes through with an incredible, unique, and original park full of one of a kind rides, great landscaping, top notch theming, and creative hacks. Twisted really improved his coaster layouts dramatically in this park, compared to his last full solo release, "The Other World". Basically, every single dimension of his parkmaker has been dramatically improved, and you'll have tons of fun touring through this park, so many nifty ideas placed everywhere, it'll take you hours and hours just to find all the cool little details. I'm not even sure if there's one single ride in the entire park that isn't hacked in some way, so you can just see how fun this park is. Great job Twisted, and thanks for making me look like a genius, and welcome to your spot on The List (#38 on the upcoming edition).
This screen shows the park's best ride in my opinion, "The Sage's Lust", a merged Mine Train ride that flies up and down, and through a giant cliffside. Immediately leaving the station, the train goes up a steep wooden lift hill (pictured), and then drops into an indoor vertical loop, before embarking on one of the best mine train layouts I've ever seen, mixing indoor and outdoor elements perfectly through the well landscaped area. "The Sage's Lust" takes up basically all the space ride-wise in the Black Mage Village, although a couple standard flat rides are thrown in as well.
This screen shows the center themed area, Machina Loading Zone, my favorite themed area in the park, featuring the most Beast-hacks, the most creative rides, and the most cool little details to explore. Just check out the entrance to the themed area, the "Machina Mayhem" bumper cars, or the incredible "Dream Theater". Or of course, you can venture onto the area's roller coaster, the beautiful white Beemer pictured, "The Fallen Angel". Here, you can see the beginning half of the ride's incredibly awkward layout, starting with the giant loop (the ride's second inversion), before flying underneath a nicely placed bridge, taking a giant diving twisting turn that bends around "X1-YK56", an Intamin Gyro Drop. That's when you fly underground, just to reappear in a giant dive loop, through a very cool wooden structure. There's lots of surprises left to be explored in this area, so I'll let your imagination go with this one.
Here is the park's Arrow Looper, the aptly named "Cattle Mutilation", which features a similar style of theming and architecture as Twisted's impressive NE Design, "Head Hunter". The coaster's ride station is a beautiful piece of architecture, a mixture of classic architecture, path canvas, abstract glass, and water slide tubing. The surrounding area is just as impressive, most notably "Industrial Revolution: 3D", one of the coolest ride buildings I've ever seen. There's also the "PTK Transporter", a mixture of roller coaster and transport that encircles the entire area, interacting with theming and hitting speeds of up to over 60 miles per hour. Congrats Twisted, and for those that doubted his skills...it's time to eat some crow.
