Pretty good.  You're headed in a great direction.  Don't forget to post it here when you're finished!

Looks really nice! That coaster is awesome, it's station fits perfectly! Maybe that path is a bit too dark though.

Wow, you're improving a lot! your style seems to be pretty close to shotguns' work while still feeling like it's own thing

I agree that it's very shotguns, but it's not quite as good in my opinion. The balconies are very large and don't make much sense. It might be because of the unfinishedness, but open balconies like that don't work for one, and secondly the full-tile length and small height scale hides basically the entire facade. Especially if you're making those buildings several stories high.

It's good to see you exploring more complicated RCT though! Certainly a great improvement from some of the earlier screens that you posted.

I understand that the balconies are enormeous but i do feel as if they extend the buildings a bit more which adds to the detail. And yes, i sort of copied them from Shotguns. I could try and replace some with canvas-ish roofs though.

there was no reason as to not use the same gauge of track throughout - the vertical drop coaster naturally can do everything that is shown there...

Maybe he just liked the giga coaster track more?

  • ida%s's Photo

Yeah, i like the look of it better. It's a bit smaller and less chunky than the drop coaster track which i feel is more fitting for the park.

And my friends in the competition don't know how to merge so they'll all be like "HOLY WHAT HOW DID YOU DO THAT".

I wanna ll those balconies now man...

if you want to impress them, go the whole mile and shoestring it too. that shits crazy impressive even if you have seen it before

with some ee style switchbacks while you're at it

I don't think it's very hard to do them in LL seeing as you won't have a big hassle with figuring out height units and stuff when MOM'ing as you can just do that with Codex.

Also, uh, nah i don't think i'll go that far with hacks. I don't think i can hack like that.

  • Description

So a friend on Twitter decided to have a small RCT2 competition with another guy and i decided to join in. Seeing as it's a small map, around 70x70 or something i think, progress is going well. I'm not very concerned if it doesn't appeal here too much because the competitors love it anyways. I'm doing my best on it though.
