Pretty amazing how the architecture speaks so much. Very good theming. Somewhat awkward map edge position with too little space to breathe.

This is fantastic. Seems like something disney would do. bugs me a bit that the roofs are the same colour of the paths, but thats just a nitpick. Besides, I think everything is basically the same colour over there lol.

The foliage in the front 2/3rds of the park was really strong, classic low density Liam foilage.  The rest was just okay, same goes for most of the park.  Considering the time in which it was built however it's very solid.

    Thanks guys!

@posix: I know, I intended for this area to be much smaller and much of the corner would've been occupied by a steppe landscape. But when you're short on time I think it's best to go with whatever you're feeling most, and I was on an unbelievable roll.

@Rob: really? Apparantly I only surpass myself when I don't intend to.

@Mattk48: the lack of contrast was very much on purpose. I think the roofs and paths never really get confusing, otherwise I would've picked another colour. Probably tan for the roofs.

Here are some reference pictures btw, for whoever is interested:

So the old city area of the park relies heavily on real places in Uzbekistan, but I also looked at some stuff in Mongolia, China, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and some stuff like that.
