  The Blaarmeersen is a recreational domain near the city of Ghent, Belgium. It's 1975 when the state decides they don't want to exploit the domain anymore and want to get rid of it. The Blaarmeersen is very popular with the Ghentians, it's a place for them to escape from the big city life. Time passed by and it seemed like the Blaarmeersen will have to close it doors...

   

  But then Marc Pille buyes the domain. Marc Pille is an entrepreneur from Ghent who made fortune by making cookies. He has sold his company and is now boring himself with all his money. So he decides to make a theme park from the Blaarmeersen, as he as seen those on his business trips to the USA.

   

   

  

   

   

  The modest entrance. A carroussel was placed nearby. There wasn't enough time to place more rides, or to do more.

   

   

  

   

   

  The Blaarmeersen beach is the hotspot for the Ghentians on hot days. There's a little eating place with a terrace nearby.

  No joke - just a Timeline park. They can be a lot of fun to follow and build - start in whatever year you want and then model the real-world progress of the park's growth by releasing a new version for every "year."
  
  I think I've heard of Ghentians in a bad sci-fi once; aren't they the lizard-deer aliens with three heads?
