Ok sorry Fred....so for the screen it's some of my favorite work of yours.  I agree with most of the points above.  Also the pastel colors with the black don't really do it for me.

    That's kinda harsh :(

I genuinely apologize, that was rude of me! My point wasn't that heavily themed parks like this don't exist, just that the way you're combining the elements is a bit disharmonious to me, even if individually they are quite fantastic work.

To my eyes the atmosphere half suggests a throwback, completely themed park from the era before we discovered backstage areas, but the other half suggests the new style of theme park realism, and they don't gel.

Doesn't make sense at all. Realism and theming aren't opposites of each other. Saying that good, heavy theming and realism don't gel is a really weird statement in face of so many great realism themed parks.

I think, if i understand it right, Dr_Dude is having a good point here. This screen definitely shows some great work, and i really like it, but i feel that this particular scene of this park looks a little bit disharmonious, when you compare the facades with the rest of the screen. It just feels strange to have the beach at this low detailing level, while especially the facade on the right is heavily great detailed.

I think just reworking the beach and the path a little bit here, could do the trick. But all in all, that's just a small point, overall it's great of course!

That's admittedly a clunky sentence I wrote, but I was referring exclusively to RCT play-styles here, not saying a park has to be realistic or themed. The facades don't look like facades to me, and as an individual observer with his own personal tastes, those structures demand more than flat black roofs. They deserve a stronger sense of place from the perspective of someone viewing the park in-game.

Other people have given more constructive feedback here. Listen to them if you don't think I'm helpful. I'm a fossil in this community, and a notoriously unproductive player, I really didn't think my 2 cents would warrant any further discussion.

This isn't what he's saying; he says parts of the screen resemble an old style of parkmaking and parts of it resemble a new style, and it's not quite sure that it blends well in his opinion.

Edit: I got ninja'd; but I think I was right in my analysis.

I can use every feedback from anyone!

I do get the Crete building stands out. I thought it was a good thing, to break up the white/blue and still stay in theme. But apparently it was too much, so I painted some things into more fitting colors. I hope this does the trick. I'll work on the path and beach later on.

One thing I don't really get is about the roof. I don't see how that should/could be done differently, since it's the roof of a dark ride. Any tips on that?

Id use a different texture for the balcony floor, something a bit more path like.  White is better though in my opinion.

I prefer the original one. It's dark enough because Minotaur eats people!

The issue I have with this screen is that while the shapes of the buildings are very good, it all somehow looks "plastic". Adding details to the paths, and peeps, will probably liven it up though. Second version of the Crete-building looks a lot better anyway, mainly with the brown balcony instead of the original black one. However, I think you should revert to the black on the columns, as that's what the columns in the actual minoan palace on Crete look like.

Lastly, the boats look a little too samey. Couldn't you vary the basic shape some?

This park shows a lot of promise so far and will probably be a big step for you once finished!
