Game Version: RCTLL
Parkmaker: JJ

As most RCT maniacs around New Element will know, RollerCoaster Tycoon was born of a tangent in the development in the game Transport Tycoon. As most others will know, Transport & RollerCoaster Tycoon aren’t the only mediums to have tycoons. Amongst the abundant Tycoon games lies Zoo Tycoon, a game which has been represented here in the latest Silver Park, Zoo Tycoon! Most will recognize JJ from his Concept Creation Quiahuitl, where his charming style really became apparent. The same charm and appreciation of the game is present in this small, yet packed park. As we enter the park, some will recognize the use of wide paths. Wait, peeps get lost on wide paths in RollerCoaster Tycoon, don’t they? Not in Zoo Tycoon! This is thanks to the wide paths hack. This allows peeps to be added into the fray, one of the countless features that really bring this park to life. The main focus of this park is of course, the animals. In the game's sequel, all we would have to do is find some handy custom objects, and place animals as accurately to real life as we care to stretch. However, in the beautiful medium of RCTLL, there is no such luxury of custom scenery. This means builders must be dynamic and versatile in order to achieve what they strive to obtain. This is where JJ excels. There is of course the standard feature of RCTLL's entertainers; tigers, pandas, elephants and gorillas, but there is also much more. There are lions, zebras, capybaras, black leopards, sea lions, polar bears and flamingos, to name a few of the amazingly executed exhibits. This park is very charming. There is no two ways about it. The landscaping is gorgeous and perfectly sculpted to accommodate the exhibits, architecture and train, which can be seen trundling around the park taking guests on their guided tour around the park. The use of codex in this park is impressive to say the least, and the architecture and environments created in this park is where it flourishes. The various restaurants and gift shops scattered around this park add grace to a scene that could so easily become chaotic. This write-up is merely an interpretation of this park. The only way you can truly appreciate this park is to open it up in game, and be amazed first hand. Congratulations, and good luck JJ. We hope this isn’t the last we will see of you! |
