Yes, it's been quite a while...about two months since the unveiling of the last spotlight here at New Element, and it's been hard finding a park to follow SA's Rivers of Babylon, but we do have a new park to showcase... Audrix Towers by Posix and x-sector. The first duo park to ever win the NE Spotlight is an outstanding LL creation, featuring some of the best themed areas ever seen and some beautiful rides.
While the park technically is a standard 'four-corners' park, the quality of the four corners is amazing, added to the quality of the Castle Audrix found in the middle. A large Medievel style castle with a very unique, sprawling layout that just beckons people to enter inside. Audrix Towers however, starts with Redrock Valley, an x-sector built African entrance area featuring some excellent wooden architecture, great landscaping, and a beautiful dock. Still, Redrock Valley seems a bit rushed, and overall the lesser quality area of the park. Moving onto one of Posix's areas: Tizoc's Realm, you'll find a traditional style Aztec area with some picture perfect landscaping and architecture, and two of the most imposing rides ever created. There's "Atlava's Waters", an amazing water ride, but more importantly "The Stone of Tizoc", one of the most intimidating, one of a kind rides I've ever seen. X-Sector's last area is Sunshine Underground, one of his newer style areas that really shows why he's in my opinion...the best parkmaker there is right now. Never has orange looked so good in RCT as it does right now, as you'll find "Under the Influence" dipping in and out of the perfect architecture. Fantasy parkmaking at its finest right here folks. Finally, there's Terranus, Posix' highlight area of the park, a barren haunted area with obvious influences from both Schuessler and vTd. Posix' coaster skills are ever-increasing (as he seems to be the parkmaker of the moment right now) as you can see with "Rigor Mortis", a powerful wooden coaster that romps through the entire area. Very classy themed area with perfect architecture and a vTd-esque atmosphere. That just about does it for Audrix Towers aka "Project 5HiNE", one of the most anticipated LL parks to come around in quite some time. Hopefully it's the start of a new era here at New Element....are the LL parks really making this huge comeback that's been rumored? Well Audrix Towers may be the first of many, so congratulations to both Posix and X-Sector for their terrific contribution to the die hard LL fans. LLLL! |
