Well after one spotlight in the "Corkscrewed Era", things are now returning back to our regular schedule, moving right ahead with the first LL spotlight we've had in over a year, since last Easter's Egg Hunt. One of the most consistent LL parkmakers at the site who has constantly improved, and finally moved into the upper echelon of parkmaking with his latest invention. Twisted brings us
Baiht Oashyr Vel Thalloo, a clinic in trackitechture, rugged landscape, and originality. Hopefully, spotlights will be coming much more fast and furious this year, after the ridiculously slow year we had last year, not to mention the PT2 updates up ahead...it's a very exciting time at NE.
The park starts off in Xcaret Cancun, a very unique entrance area that immediately gives visitors a strong first impression, flooding their eyes with beautiful trackitecture everywhere, great use of complimentary colors, and a rough, rugged atmosphere that suits the park beautifully. Moving on to the War of the Worlds area, visitors find themselves in the middle of the ongoing war between Earth and Mars. The cleverly hidden "AEB Launcher" resides here, as does the Martians' secret weapon, "Zanaia High Speed Pods", a psychotic rapids ride through the Martian technology. Next you'll encounter Galasro, the dark futuristic area of the park, featuring the park's largest roller coaster, "New Age Ninja", a launched Floorless multi-element. You'll also find some of the strongest architecture in the park here, with buildings such as the Galasro Power Inc. and the mysterious Atasorea Testing Center. Next up is the park's centerpeice, the rugged Niacuna Ruins, fully equipped with shrines and totem poles...not to mention the large B&M Inverted Coaster terrorizing the area, "Hayabusa". Cross the Fairy Bridge, and you'll find yourself in my favorite area, Cronk Lumo. It's in this area that you'll find the park's wooden coaster, "Lumo Run", as it flies through the hillside architecture hitting speeds of 60 mph. Little mushrooms compliment the architecture and colors beautifully, as does the park's circus, the Cirque Du Soleil. For even more impressive architecture, check out the area's harbour (in white and gold) for a lesson on how to properly combine trackitecture and intricate path structures to create beautiful areas. The last area is the Tyrant Breeding Grounds, where you'll have to find a way over the security fences to enter, guarding you from the various mutated monsters inside. Inside you'll find the park's vast adventure ride , "Expedition: Tyrant", which takes riders on a up close and dangerous tour of all of these experiments. Congratulations once again to Twisted who broke the string of RCT2 dominance in the Spotlight, helping restore LL back to it's old glory days, as well as elevating himself to one of the top LL'ers at the site, instead of the 'promising darkhorse' that he's been since his arrival at New Element.
