Bayfront Parc By Kumba Added on Saturday, 16 June 2007

Okay, Kumba has officially gone insane with power and made his old Super Runner-Up park into an NE Spotlight, let the boycott, rioting and anarchy begin, we must reject this! Well not exactly, Corkscrewed said it was alright to upgrade BP on the grounds that it did win Runner-Up of the year in 2005, so feel free to blame Cork, or yeah maybe me for not stopping him from making Bayfront Parc into an NE Spotlight.

This park was first released two years ago and just barely missed spotlight, but thanks to a vote, time and a management makeover, Bayfront Parc is now an NE Spotlight. The park starts with it's entrance in the Bicentennial Towers area, which was the first section built way back at the end of 2003. The closest thing you will find to a ride in this area is the elevator to the observation deck and of course "The Maze of Bass" by none other then cBass, one of many guest builders that chipped in and contributed something to the park. If you decide to go clockwise in the park (Like I did when I built it) you will arrive next in Island 51, a brightly colored sci-fi Alien themed area dominated by "Galaxy", a massive B&M Hyper Coaster. At the center of the park you will find the Hurricane Highlands, an area that was been struck by a massive tropical cyclone that has turned a city into a wild section of a themepark! This area is highlighted by two Kumba trademarks, a B&M named "Hurricane" thats painted University of Miami colors and a rapids ride. After the highlands we come to Erwindale village, a joint section I worked on with Coaster Ed. This is clearly the strongest area of the park, but due to the fact it is based off a true classic LL mini H2H2 park by Ed & Mantis some don't really give BP much credit for it. Ed did not build as much as I had hoped he would but he did do just about all of "Fire in the Sky" one of the wildest 4D Coasters you will ever see. The area is also highlighted by the fairy race, the village square, Erwindale's End, out of the ash and of coruse the grandfather tree. The sorta calypso style cove area is pretty much carried by the Coral Creature, a coaster layout made for the park by RCT Legand sacoasterfreak a.k.a. SA. I also managed to contribute some nice stuff to the cove in the form of a sea life marine center, a underwater stunt show and giant custom top spin. The final Everglades area of the park killed everything according to the response that was recived when the park was released over a year ago. It is true that I did just about all of it in like 3 or 4 days, but it came out exactly like I had pictured it, so I was satisfied and moved on to the small zoo section without a second thought.

Overall it is a very strong park, is it a true NE Spotlight? No, but it is an elevated NE Spotlight and I'll take that for now, I do have another solo coming to an end anyways, I hope that could also be popping up as a Spotlight sometime in the near future...
