RCTFusion bias my ass! Our first spotlight in four months comes to a promising upcoming parkmaker, one of the most reliable and solid builders we've seen in quite some time, as he brings us Bijou Magique. Automatically granting Turtle a Parkmaker Spot at NE3, he will be one of the *several* new NE Parkmakers that go up when the site does. While he's not the flashiest or best hacker, Turtle has proven that having the fundamentals down to a pat is still good enough these days, and that building actual parks is still the best way to become an NE Parkmaker.

The park starts off on the beautiful Finch's Landing, the perfect entrance area for this type of park. Beautiful architecture shrouded in a rich Spanish atmosphere, with golds and greens perfectly mixed together to create a welcoming entrance. Moving directly to the left, you'll encounter the park's small, but menacing pirate area: "La Rochelle". It's here you'll find one of the most daulting water rides ever found in RCT2, the 10+ rated "Voyage to Tortuga", featuring an eye-opening double drop with double headchoppers on the way down, a one of a kind experience. The architecture, theming, and atmosphere are superb here just like every part of the park, once again a prime example of the consistency Turtle brings to the table. The next area is the small, and borderline insignificant "Al-Hassan Oasis" area of the park, which has a very nice contrasting sandy feel to it, but lacks the ride strength or theming capacities of some of the better areas. While it's not bad in any way, it just falls a little short compared to the rest of the park in my opinion. Next comes the gigantic Lost Continent area of the park, which features the park's premier attractions, "Colorado & Riaz", a set of dueling Vekoma SLC's. The theming in this area is tastefully done, not overdone in any way, but mainly just secondary to the great rides and engulfing atmosphere. The slob-esque "Parramatta River Rapids", the park's second of two water rides. The jungle wonderland of "Iguaca Falls" is the next area, another fairly large themed area which features another dominating coaster...this time the thrilling "Macaw" Arrow Looper, a coaster that continues the sense of traditionalism in this park. The final area is quite possibly the best, Mycenea, which features his best architecture and theming, and a very beautiful terrain-based wooden coaster named "Chariot of the Gods", that slopes down between the trees and rocks, and flies through some of the perfected architecture. All in all, Bijou Magique proves that taking a look back to some of the less flashier parkmakers, such as Schuessler and SACoasterFreak can still provide us with enough new material to amaze us for years. Maybe Turtle will lead a revolution of traditional-style NE3 Parkmakers, but for now...it seems to me like Turtle is sitting pretty in his own genre (and his new Parkmaker Spot!)
