Finally, RRP breaks out of his shell and releases one of his fabeled parks. No, it's not Sea World Atlanta, but it is just as nice. Busch Gardens Lichfield takes the crown this time, a beautiful theme park split into 5 themed areas, and featuring great coasters & quite possibly the best theming ever.
Lichfield obviously has many sources of inspiration, most notably Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Islands of Adventures, as both parks seemed to directly influence coasters (Forces of Nature for IOA and Lutz Breeze for BGW). The park still maintains its own original feel though, and only the surreal atmosphere leaves an understanding to why it was put under the Busch chain. The park starts off with a beautiful, golden entrance area, which features the most abundant architecture throughout the park, and is headlined by the Drachen Fire-inspired Arrow Looper, "Lutz Breeze". A very classic, tastefully done western area is next, featuring beautiful landscaping and architecture (like always), and "The Last Amigo", a relatively simple in design, yet effective GCI Wooden Coaster. Continuing on through the park, you'll see a beautiful themed area, with lots of great eye-catchers, including the "Sun Stroke" Intamin Giga Coaster, the custom flat ride, the excellent stunt show, and a beautifully made 3D show. Coming up next, you'll see the IOA inspiration in the park, as Dueling Dragons is emulated very well with the incredibly themed "Forces of Nature" duelers, which rip there way through the area (which has a very nice mixture of Medievel and naturalistic theming). Finally, the last themed area really has its own atmosphere. Featuring the giant "Mount Kilamanjara" liquid coaster, and the strange and original "Pilot Wings" prototype, as well as the best landscaping in the park, and a great path layout as it hovers over the water below. Busch Gardens Lichfield is defintely one of the nicest spotlights ever, and should keep RCT1's shelflife going a little bit longer. Also, major congrats to x-sector on his incredible, various contributions to the park. |
