The first time we've ever had Co-Spotlights at New Element. I didn't want to solely have a WW Spotlight, since I realize that many of the NE populus doesn't own the game, so I added an amazing LL park to the mix as well. Although Blind Guardian is retired, he managed to find some good help to finish off his final park,
Cataclysm. Who is this "help"? None other then one of the most impressive parkmakers of all time, Coaster Ed. A park that has slipped completely under the radar, will finally get its time to shine here at New Element.
The whole park is in a pretty classic style of parkmaking, a style that Blind Guardian had adapted. Built in the same style as parks like Coaster Ed's Cedar Creek and BG's other park. Featuring realistic architecture throughout the park, and no over-the-top theming (in BG's areas). The rides though, are the epitome of creative. The first ride you'll see entering the park is "Planned Nature", a Mack prototype water ride. Next door, you'll find one of the more popular coasters in the park, "Divine Punishment", a 4D Coaster with a very short (as in, not tall), but enjoyable layout. Continue through the park and you'll reach the "After The Fire..." area of the park. Here you'll find "Violent Revolution", a B&M Inverted Coaster, and the park's most advertised ride, the amazing log flume: "Lost Oasis". Throughout some more of Blind Guardian's work, you'll find the "Carnivore" flying dutchman and "Gattaca", the park's biggest coaster, a wooden coaster with extra supports. Now Ed's work begins...starting with the Harbor District, where you'll find the creative Harbor District Trolley, and some very original architecture. Still haven't gotten to the park's best two rides. First off, "Tektonic Ridge", the sequel to SandStorm Rally from EgypTopia, Ed's latest adventure ride. Incredible ride, non stop action all the way through, and according to Ed, he likes it even more then the Rally racers. Finally, my favorite ride in the park, and possibly my favorite water ride overall, "The River of Death and Decay". Definitely one of the most incredible rides I've ever seen, just shows how amazing Ed is. Looks like someone better make a full park pretty soon...Anyways, congrats & farewell to Blind Guardian, and this should satisfy the LL people here at NE....
