Originally a runner-up to roomraider's Snow Drop spotlight, Land of the Villain by Natelox was voted as the "Best NE Runner Up" in the New Element Awards, an award that automatically turns that park into a full, regular NE Spotlight. This marks Nate's third spotlight, and the first of his spotlights not under the Disney moniker.
Natelox was originally known for his dark style of parkmaking, with crazy assortments of coasters and unique ideas. Parks like Coal Harbour, Snow Peak, and A River of Need all shared the same style. After changing to a slightly lighter scheme, Nate decided to go back to his roots with LOTV. And the results were amazing. Nate acquired some of the best coaster makers around to help him out with this park, including the legendary Mala, the legendary NeViS, and the psychotic Adix. Mala contributed the park's finest coasters, "Villain's Raceway", a set of launched racing looping woodies that just redefines what a wooden coaster is supposed to be. Barreling down diagonal hills at speeds of over 80 miles per hour, with near misses and perfectly timed races, this ride is perhaps one of the best wooden beasts of all time. NeViS adds one of his patened Giga Coasters, this time using the box-track he invented for the "Dr. Octavius" ride. Finally, Adix, the master of the Luge constructed his best Luge of all time with "Redbeard: The Nemesis" located in the Pirate Cove area of the park. Natelox gets himself involved as well though, with rides like the 10+ excitement "Villain", a B&M Launched Sitdown Coaster that interacts with the terrain beautifully. Nate also adds an extremely tall Inverted Coaster in "Legend of BigFoot", a crazy Arrow Looper: "Ghost of Britania Mines" and the "Grim Reaper" woody. With the dark, multicolored paths, the unique style of theming, and the gloomy atmosphere, Nate shows that he can still bring it back to the 'dark side'. |
