After only one spotlight through the entire month of February, the Spotlight makes a triumphant return with another first time winner, Evil WME, with his incredible
Lost Era Resort, a rather top secret project worked on in the shadow of his highly publicized "Galumph over Dreams" park. The first multi-map spotlight since Butterfinger's UCSR, you'll find both a unique theme park and an incredible resort map both in this resort, with tons of hacks and several new ideas.
The Lost Era Theme Park, like so many before it, is split into themed areas, all of which are unique themes that aren't commonly used, and include some very extra-special coasters. Starting to the right with the Troposphere, you'll see a classic teal Floorless Coaster in the shape of "Storm", a beautiful steel beast looming over the dark trees below, and influencing the coastal atmosphere 100%. Continuing on through the park into Horror Domain, you'll find an assortment of coasters, headlined by the highly themed, and very creative "Mines of Morodin" coaster, a crazy rodent that gets its inspiration from Florida DisneySea's "Bald Mountain" masterpiece. Also in Horror Domain you'll find a seldomly used Suspended Coaster in the shape of "The Decapitator', along with various other ride favorites, including a side-friction coaster and a highly themed ghost train. Into one of the more subtle areas of the park, Evil WME's version of France in RCT. Not since the days of Clockwork Dreams have we seen a French themed area with the same atmosphere as this one. Headlined by the "Les Bois" wooden coaster, which roars above the vast forest below. The yellow and white architecture blend together to create an individual feel from the rest of the park. Next, we take a drastic change in setting, and head to Futura, where we'll immediately be greeted (almost literally) by "Alien", the giant Dive Machine you'll find in the middle of the park (and check out that custom alien in the queue line!). As for the resort map of The Lost Era, it's almost as perfect as it gets. Featuring one coaster, the hacked "CYBER: Time Travel" inverted coaster, and also featuring an assortment of hotels (including the spooky "Parallel Hotel" and the latest PyroPenguin masterpiece hotel) and tons of waterslides, none cooler then "Cyclone", RCT's first 'toilet bowl waterslide'. Also make sure to check out the "Great River Adventure", an interactive water ride where you decide what course you take. Feel free to get off the ride at any time, but stick it out till the end where you'll get a choice of 4 different water slides to choose your finale from! All in all, The Lost Era Resort marks a tremendous addition to New Element, and we'll see if we can get the spotlights rolling a bit more frequently again. Enjoy everybody!
