Well, Micool says I should post a new spotlight, so that's exactly what I'm doing. In what should prove to be one of the more controversial spotlights of all time, popular parkmaker Posix revereted back to the classic style of parkmaking for his beautiful Raindrop Riviera. The first park since Islands of Adventure Hollywood to use such a classic style of parkmaking, you'll swear you were looking at an old Schuessler or Snowbound park. This park will ask the question..what type of response would parks like Moonlight Magic or Crystal Horizons get released today?

The park starts off in my favorite area of the park, one of the most beautiful entrance areas I've ever seen..."Webbsfleet Village", a medievel town with freshly watered blue flowers, extremely refined architecture and theming that doesn't go over the top, yet just looks absolutely perfect in my opinion. Really, an entrance like this would make Schuessler WISH he had it in his park. The "Pahlavi Rainforest" is next, a very unique looking themed area, a classic-style tropical theme featuring a completely different style of architecture then the rest of the park. Relying more on sloped balconies and terraced buildings, it's really a nice change of pace. Here you'll find one of only three coasters in the park, "Avesta", a large wooden coaster. Radex Studios comes next, a very small yet effective hi-tech area featuring "Stratosphere", a set of racing reverse freefalls. Then there's Herculaneum, which is the 'snowbound-esque' area of the park. Equipped with the signature light-blue Beemer, in this case "Mercury", along with classic architecture, great flower placement, and unbelievable atmosphere..the key elements that made SA's parks so legendary. You'll also find "Ulysses River" here, a very cool rapids ride. Finally, what will be the most debated area of the park I feel...Arabian Market Square. Taking a different approach, Posix actually made it a marketplace. It features no real rides or attractions, other then "Hilal's Journey", a full scale simulator. It does however feature an amazing stadium show. Congrats Posix on your first spotlight win, and for creating a style of park that we don't see anymore...brings diversity to the Spotlight here at New Element.
