Some of my stuff. It's all instrumental since I like doing instrumental music, and also I can't sing :D The song that starts playing when you click the link was finished today. Most of it is MIDI. Feel free to give me some constructive feedback. Oh and don't bother asking about the song titles, they're just random.

I'm glad you like it! Just GarageBand. I'd rather use Logic Pro, but it won't run on the mac I'm using. GB really has it's limitations but on the other hand, it's great for getting ideas down. I'd love recording everthing for real some day though, would sound so much better. I play guitar, but not on these songs.

Got a new song up, if you wanna hear it click on the link in the first post or the link in my sig. It features a solo recorded with my computer keyboard. I only did some minor quantizing of it (the solo) so I hope it will make the song feel less "programmed" than the other songs, atleast in that part. Everything else is done in my traditional way of drawing in the sequencer.

I like it, again! It's a bit like Dream Theater without the metal.
  • Splitvision%s's Photo
Wow thanks! You have no idea how honored I am that you draw comparisons with Dream Theater, that's the best compliment I could get. I just wish that I could record everything for real, or atleast with a midi keyboard, but I don't have the claviature playing chops for that. I need a band :'(

New short song up. It's supposed to be a part of a much longer song, as with many of the other songs I've uploaded, it's just that I never get around to make them... Anyway enjoy!

Another song added... It's the first song on the list called "W.M.C". It's actually rather old, over 1 & 1/2 years since I made it, I'll blame the somewhat sloppy guitar playing on that (yeah this one actually features real guitar playing) :D Hope you like

    sounds nice man!

i love the guitar on the intro.

    is that you actually playing?
    or is it MIDI.

either way, it sounds really nice dude.

i used to make a lot of music like this actually.
instrumental stuff, similar to Vai and Satriani.
except that i was nowhere near as good lol.

but i definitely do hear the dream theater influence.
they were all i used to listen to when i was learning how to play guitar lol.

    nice work!

    Thanks for the crit guys!:)

In:Cities - It's me playing aswell as MIDI. It's a shame though the quality gets so compressed when you export the song from garageband, it gets kinda murky and slushy, when listening to it in garageband it sounds much better.

Got some new stuff recorded! This time around it's actually myself playing as opposed to pure MIDI tracks. Came up with them both this week so they're both a little rough in structure and playing, plus that I recorded them "on the go" with the soundcloud app in whole takes so there's no editing whatsoever. Still hope you can find some enjoyment from them.
