Awesome! Loving Neck Deep. The Story So Far is one of my favorite bands as of right now and it's great to hear something similar. With that said, I would love to check out some more songs by you guys. Also, what is your role in the bands? -

Thanks man, i play guitar.
We're recording an EP in the new few weeks so keep your eyes on that.
The story so far are so good, massive inspiration on this band. -

Wow! This is some great stuff dude:D
Just checked out all three bands. Really digging Spires and Neck Deep quite a bit. I'm not typically a fan of pop punk, but you guys are fantastic. Its the vocals that do it for me. Usually pop punk is brought down by mediocre singing. But your vocalist is great! Well crafted lyrics and catchy melodies. And the music itself is very driving and solid. Love it. Especially the half tempo part in the last half of the song!
Spires was great too, though a bit generic for my tastes. Still quality stuff though! Definitely have my support:]
Heres my band if you want to check us out as well. We'll throw some tags out for ya if you'd like:]

Ugh. I'm getting tired of doing this:
Hardcore
Melodic Hardcore
Pop-punk
Oh, wait, I don't want to be a negative nancy though! Your music is rather good, I especially enjoyed Spires. -

Yeah i always remember you doing quite a bit musically I'll check you guys out when i get my headphones tomorrow.
Spires are in a bit of a lul at the moment, we're touring in 6 weeks or so with agitator, and we basically need to write a whole new set so nothing's really going on right now. Check some of our older stuff too:

Melodic hardcore to me is Have heart, verse, carry on, etc...
But apparently not anymore, haha -

I absolutely love the lead guitar in 'Open Hands'. Very similar to my own preferred style of playing to be honest, which is why it draws me in so much:] -

But can't you steal a genre that isn't being used? I'm pretty sure electroclash is open.
Nah bro it's all cool. The first half of Piece by Piece was more or less the kind of hardcore Converge, Blacklisted, etc. have been serving up for a while but the extended breakdown was way more in the metal camp.
EDIT: Also, I'm not genre king, I'm a punk kid. Just watching over the territory. I understand that the term "hardcore" has gone through the telephone game in some camps, but there are basically two completely different definitions now and I'd prefer we all tried to avoid confusion.
Also I just want to affirm that your music is good. -

^I agree. I'm just sick of certain people automatically shooting down this style of music right off the bat because it doesn't conform to their version of hardcore. While I agree that your definition is accurate, other people think that hardcore music is strictly bands like 'For the Fallen Dreams, The Ghost Inside, Architects, etc] The music scene has changed drastically over the recent years and more and more subgenres keep popping up, so a lot of people lose track of where to 'classify' it in a sense lol. -

Totally, i think where you are in the world comes into it a lot too.
In the UK at least, bands like backtrack, trapped under ice, rotting out (i could go on forever...) are the straight up 'hardcore' bands right now. Youth crew is on a massive hype so you've got those vibes coming in, and then all of these kind of crossover bands that some people consider hardcore, but would probably be better labeled as metalcore (the ghost inside are a good example). Whereas when we play shows in mainland Europe, basically all of those crossover metalcore bands are billed as hardcore.
We toured with liferuiner over the winter, and really they are just a beatdown metalcore band, but they are labeled as a hardcore band, hardcore kids come to shows, it's all a bit weird really.
There's too many genres, and people give too many fucks about them, and what's 'cool' and what's not.
Not ranting at you guys here or anything -

I'm really liking what you've got there. I also think you should go into song with a lot more lead, and solo content like this. Congrats on the label!
