Ask the Experts / RCT2 crashes when saving.

I apologize if this topic is a double, I searched here and Google and couldn't find anything satisfactory.

So a few months ago I was having trouble saving; the game would crash every time I tried to save. Nothing worked except creating a new folder in my RCT2 folder to save and load from, but now that isn't working about 50% of the time. I can't keep losing work, plus the toll it takes on inspiration and flow is awful. Any help is appreciated!

Properties, compatibility mode, Windows XP Service Pack 2, do this for everything including trainers.  You can run in reduced color mode, if you like.

If that doesn't work, I have no idea.

I'll try when I have a few minutes. I also read in Ask the Experts something about each 8cars having it's own specific .dll. I downloaded RCT2 Tools and don't know which is which(besides 1.21 obviously).
