Ask the Experts / Remove/lower station huts in LL

  • Lilith%s's Photo

I'm not familiar at all with codex but I know that I need it to make station huts invisible. How do I remove or lower them with it?

    1. Build the huts

    2. Open the overview map (the blue button on the right)

    3. Find the huts

    4. Select them

    5. Lower them several units

CSW you need to save the game between steps 1 and 2 on your list or it wont show correctly in the map.

The invisible thing without lowering is harder and prone to crashing a bit so save.

    1. Build the huts

2, Lower the ground beneath them by one unit.

    3. Build a bush or a path underneath the hut.

    4. Save Game

    5. Open map overview window

    6. Find the square with the hut.

    7. Click the + icon next to the item you placed under the hut

    8. Change the first 2 characters in the Hex code to FF

    9. Huts should now be invisible. Everything you build above where that object was will now be invisible. everything below will be visible and can be raised up as needed.

Who uses the map instead of the live construction window?

Who doesn't? Or am I the outlier...

everything below will be visible and can be raised up as needed.

So I can build anything below and raise it up and it will stay visible?

    Thanks all

I do use the live construction window for most things. But for this sort of hex edit stuff It really needs a save game as its a lot more likely to crash. Saving resets the live window.

And yeah anything you build below and raise up will be visible. Anything built above will be invisible.

I use the map overview a lot for batch edits.  Throw four mushrooms on a tile, clone something from across the map four times at once.  Also good for diagonal track and the like since you can select multiple tiles and then filter by ride name to raise it all at once.

The map always gets buggy for me, probably because I didn't know you needed to save for it to work, so I got used to doing all my codex with the live construction menu.
