RCT Discussion / Latest Updates

Hey guys, a lot of you probably don't remember me. It's been awhile since I've been on here. I was wondering if anyone could get me up to date on new parks, train add-ons, ect. I've seen a couple screen shots with some new custom coasters and would really like to get all the latest game scenary/rides. I would greatly appreciate it.

Start by looking into OpenRCT2: https://openrct2.org/

Really changes the game and allows you to build much faster and easier than before.

As for parks, the recent spotlights, and even golds are a great place to start obviously.

Definitely try OpenRCT, and for the best recent parks check out my profile. ;) Good to see you around again! Show us a screen when you have something. :)

Would anyone be willing to give me some insight on OpenRCT. I've learned a lot when messing with is but still feel there's much more to know. Also, I know how to change track types while building a coaster.. but can't figure out how to overlap invisible track with. If there are any other shortcuts or tips that would be awesome. Obviously, I did look at the Pros and Cons of Open RCT, but didn't offer too much. Thanks guys, really appreciate the help.

Is it possible to open RCT1 files in Open RCT? I was reading through the readme and came across "•Feature: Importing SV4 and SC4 files with rides."

Yes, it is, but it's not perfect yet, and obviously there are RCT1 features not supported by OpenRC T2

Is there any certain way to open them? I haven't had any success. Like do any of the settings need to be modified? Thanks
