Ask the Experts / flats without the base

how do people do this because for me it keeps looking extremely glitchy or it just doesn't work...

    anyone have some pointers?

Either use actual path below them, or simply land texture.  Path objects can be kind of glitch like you said for certain rides, but others it usually is 90% satisfactory.

Kind of tough to avoid glitching on some rides, especially the 3x3 spinning rides.  I've been trying to come up with a solution for a while now, but I haven't been able to make any progress at this point.

Perhaps some sort of actual ride object that is literally just open path, kind of like SixFrags did for Europa park, for his object saving parking lot.

Not sure though, just one of those things you kind of have to live with at this point.

So i have to lower the base by 1 clearance and then go for the path object?
  • G Force%s's Photo
Yes, but it has to be actual path, not just a large scenery object.

And the "round" edges? Those only work on 4x4 flats?
  • G Force%s's Photo
Live with them or add some creative tree/theming placement.

Some 3x3 flats can look nice with round edges. Merry go rounds look alrght for example. Just make the corner tiles invisible with the gee method or however you do it in OpenRCT.
