Hopefully someone can me with this. I downloaded a park file from RCT world and when I went to look at the download it came up as a notepad. Years ago I was able to somehow convert it into a SV.6, but it has been so long since I did so, that I have forgotten how to do it. I will attach it here , if anyone know how to work it out, could you repost it here or add it to the park data base. If it is the right file, it was a pretty good recreation Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom - Louisville.htm (39.76KB)

Sorry if this is obv and you've already tried.. but have you tried just changing the filename/extension to .sv6 rather than .htm ?

File associations are usually based on the file extension, not the actual content of the file. That file opens in Notepad because it has a .htm extension, but it is definitely not an HTML file nor any kind of text file.
It does look like an SV6 file (it begins with an object header and string table), but it will not load in game. I believe it might be incomplete - the smallest SV6 files I have on my computer are around 300KB, this one is 40KB, which seems suspiciously small especially since it's exported. I'd have to actually try and parse it to determine if this is the case. -

I'm tempted to say that since the file is .htm you clicked "save as" on the page itself rather than the download link, but as X7123 says that doesn't look like an HTML page.

You may be right, the file would not download...when i click the link it opens right to the file itself not the download...it is a bunch of symbols and words and stuff. Its a file off of rct-world.de the link itself is probably broken. The site itself is no longer maintained I guess but it does have some great park recreations

The server might be sending the wrong MIME type, but that shouldn't matter. You're not accidentally saving the page instead because that isn't an HTML file. Do you have the download link? -

If you search the downloads on rct world it comes up with 2 versions. one is a broken link and the other is a sv6. I don't know why you got a notepad file. Try this version

The file size looks the same on that one. Probably won't work either and is just the same file with a different extension.
