hackwise, this park is up to your usual great quality. but this one just feels so lifeless in comparison... you have this unique realistic take to the game that I'm not a huge fan of, though I do appreciate what goes into the park. frankly, it just doesn't feel that good aesthetically and that is a huge part of what LL is about. also, the woodie colors are terrible :p

I'd want to see a bit more of a break into semi-realism and less british-y architecture from you. good work though, it certainly screams roomie :D

Roomies works always makes me feel bad for not owning LL.. I wish I could see this in-game because of that Full Scale I couldn't figure out what BG was talking about in the write up :p

    Hey All

This park was always a Tech demo for the two hacks (Working Rollbacks on the rocket and working holding brake on the Impulse)... it started as a test bed for some ideas and as such it kind of ended up as a mish mash or ideas and styles. I kind of knew it wouldn't get great reviews but it was never meant to be a full park. i just wanted to get the 2 hacks released as I am actually quite chuffed with them.

But yes as a cohesive unit this park was never really going to work.

PS: Thanks for the Logo Verti. love it.

Very nice Roomie. I loved all the details, the box track, the roll back hack, the various space themed scenery in places, and of course that clean cut, realistic style in LL. Cool little park here, definitely deserving of it's medal!

The two hacks were really cool. Really loved the holding brake on the impulse. That being said, I don't believe this deserved a bronze. Maybe a concept creation? Obviously the park was built around the two concepts and was never intended as a full park.

Would the holding brake hack be possible in RCT2?

^Concept Creations haven't been accolades for a couple of years now.

I thought this was nice. Bronze seems fitting considering the amount of content in the park, and the fact that there was enough to make it worthy of winning something.

Didn't know that... or exactly how they worked in the first place. lol. Thanks for the info. ;)

"and the fact that there was enough to make it worthy of winning something."
    I do agree with this.

Well that's depressing... 5 comments for an LL release these days.

Congratulations on the bronze Roomie! For a park that's sole focus is on two hacks, i'm impressed. The rollback is a very good idea, well executed and I loved the idea for the box track. The holding brake was very nicely done as well. I liked the little ideas like the fishing harbour and the radar which added a certain value to this for me. The entrance building/station was very good too but the overall lack of atmosphere kind of brought this down, but this could be due to the lack of peeps. Anyway, I hope you keep on bringing more mind-boggling hacks to the table and I await your next release with anticipation.

    Sorry, I've been busy.

Congratulations Roomie! I quite liked this. The coasters weren't anything special and the whole thing was quite ugly (can't deny), but there were lots of cool hacks and details in here. I'm a fan of the Haunted House for example. Somehow I also liked the astronomy theme in this, even though it was mostly in the naming. I don't know but I liked it.

I hope you will use your skills to make something GREAT one day. No hacking for the sake of it, but a more instrumental approach where you use hacks to achieve something. Through the Ages was a step in the right direction. Come on Roomie, give us a 128x128 theme park with good looks!

Whilst this was good. I didn't think it was as good as some of your other stuff Roomie although I know it was mainly to showcase those two great hacks.

I always feel your work is lacking a little on the aeshthetics and it shows a little in the areas around the woodie and carousel. I didn't like the 2x2 size buildings around the observation tower either becuase you've got really large buidlings in one area of the map and it felt a little odd.

I loved the ghost train style ride. The building is really well done, feels like a proper ghost train that you'd find at an amusement park, good job! The entrance to the park had some nice architecutre as well.

I can't agree with Liam enough. "give us a 128x128 theme park with good looks!"

Nice to see more of your work! :)
