I really like this, although it looks a little bit empty.

No he wasn't. He just missed that last spark to make it design worthy.

cool for its size but really your stations need more inspiration man...

I felt that the entire thing was uninspired really, and that's why this didn't earn design, even though I would've voted about 65-70%

HAS NO ONE SEEN THAT LAYOUT?

I think that's possibly the greatest B&M Hyper layout this site has seen!

Either I'm stupid or blind because I never saw this in my panelist jobs, and that is a shame because I really liked this...

    Aww stop it :p

yeah Louis that's ture, the layout itself was fabulous as hell. but you know..it's lacking to grab a design. landscape, foliage was ok, but the theme and the whole structures were totally uninspired to me. which is his biggest problem I think.

Have you not seen a B&M Hyper layout?

You do realise Hypers are at least 200ft tall? Even in rct this is no where near that height scale.

It's cool but way to small for me.

    Bullshit.

And even if you were right, why should he follow the real-life standards? If he wants to make a hyper of that size, why should it get less points...

This was inspired by Raging Bull (hyper-twister) and meant for a smaller park. Who says B&M can't make a 'hyper' coaster shorter than 200 feet?

Goliath, have you seen every B&M hyper layout. I'm not sure that you have based on that comment.

Plus, one could say that because of the games scale, coasters should be a bit smaller than real life, etc. I personally found the layout to be pretty awesome but I did think it was a tad slow in places. The whole thing was on par with Ling's last design attempt, where it was just so close to being design-worthy, but some things held it back. In this case the entire thing felt a bit uninspired, even though the initial idea of the coaster being in a sort of canyon is really cool.

Maverix, don't let this discourage you from trying again in the future, and judging by your topic in the ad it hasn't. While you don't get accolades with every release, it doesn't mean that you aren't a great player. It just shows that you really like the game and I really appreciate that.

Don't worry it doesn't/ won't. I love this game and love building and playing around with it, the accolades are just a nice bonus and something fun to shoot for.

OK i agree, Holly wood dream and la ronde are an exception, but apart from those every other hypr has a drop/height of over 200 ft.

But of you think so, thats ok, these are just my thoughts

Why is everyone calling it a hyper when it's a mega coaster. Sorry but it goes..

    100+ feet = mega
    200+ feet = hyper
    300+ feet = giga
    400+ feet = strata

Hell it even clearly states on the link Fred tried posting to disprove what I said its classified as a mega..
  • Maverix%s's Photo
^B&M refer to their coaster of the type as hyper coasters, regardless of size. Intamin calls them mega coasters. They essentially mean the same thing B&M's differing slightly in that it encompasses the models that are less than 200 feet.

    Touchè..

Regardless what it's called. It's a hell of a layout.
