The Replacements beat The Icons!
As per rule E3 from the Rules and Regulations, The Replacements will receive the average score of all winning entries in Rounb Robin. This score will be determined at the end of Round Robin.
A Far Cry From Home was made by Bubbsy41 (80%), Poke (14%), SensualEthiopianPolice (3%) and GammaZero (3%).
The Apprenticeship was made by Recurious (64%), trav (25%), RWE (10%) and Version1 (1%).

I would have preferred the replacements park if it was either chinese or arabian, not both. The way the rides are both just there on the map with absolutely no transition or connection other than an extremely thin thematic one, so close that their music overlaps but so different in tone and look that they may as well be two different parks is just baffling and ridiculous. Both sides of the park look nice, they would have made decent designs on their own.
The Icons park is absolutely beautiful and is seriously in my top 5 along with The Island, DAW, La Reve and Table With Umbrella. Everything about it is charming and I could sit there looking for hours and hours. Everything. This whole DQ drama will probably get in the way of proper feedback and reviewing, but Icons? You certainly went out with one hell of a fucking bang. You know how to make a exit Lou you fucking kween slay goddamn
Because of how critical this matchup was to not only the two teams involved's success, but also to the Ultrarealists, I think a flat disqualification was the wrong way to handle this.
One person, team, or subset of players, whichever the case may be, should not be the deciding factor on who moves forward in a community-focused contest such as this.
I'll honestly say i'm shocked by this outcome, but not at all by the source of it.
I think this is a good example of why H2H should be laid to rest. Even if just for fun, this contest always required a certain amount of investment, and this season that was no exception. However, as I type this, the people who orchestrated this final 'fuck you' from the Icons are laughing and joking over on Discord. To them, this is a final bit of fun while a number of people have invested a significant amount of time in the contest. For those who make the playoffs and those who won't, regardless, this is highly disrespectful.
Maybe this is systemic of a problem with NE right now, there is nothing happening on here. It is all on discord. That's where comments are, that's where drama happens, that's where everything is. This topic should be blowing up, but all it has is a handful of one word comments. Discord is NE and this is just our file sharing platform.
Cheapens it for the teams and players who want a fair competition.

I really like the Replacements park here, but something about it feels a little weird to me, mostly in the Asian area. The arrow coaster was amazing, probably my favorite coaster of the contest. Arabian coast area was fantastic too, great use of textures and foliage, ultimately fantastic all around. Though its probably not hte most unique or innovative park ever, its very creatively done and still feels new. Great job Bubbsy, really impressed with this one. Interested to see the builder breakdown on this.
As for the Icons park I do like the creativity and deeper ideas behind it, lots of great ideas and clever stuff in it, especially the moving objects. Kind of shocked no one has done something like that before honestly, opens up a lot of opportunity in the game. Ironically this kind of reminds me of Cyleal from last H2H, which was also a trav park and had parts of the map floating away with purple/blue stuff underneath. Ships were amazing and lots of great archy, especially in the back and very front of the park. Was some awkward scale issues around the car ride, which i really wasn't much of a fan of (same for the coaster I guess), probably the only part of the map that didn't work for me.
My vote probably would have gone to the Replacements here, but two very cool parks (and probably my 2nd favorite park from each team this season).
I write this with a heavy heart as I'm very much about to dennounce someone who until this day i had a lot of respect for but......

Yes the competition is about a 20 year old game series. yes it should be taken with a bit of frivolity. yes maybe we should lighten up a bit sometimes. And maybe Louis and the Icons did this on purpose to make us all step back and look at an argument that is now in full swing and make us think its only a game.
Having said all that. We have all as players invested a good amount of time in this competition and I know how i would feel if i was on the UR team. UR had a chance of making the playoffs. There is a chance they wouldn't have done it but they had some hope.
In one foul swoop the Icons have removed that hope and decided based on their opinion that the replacements deserve a place in the playoffs. Its not done on a vote it's not done on a community consensus. Its done on the opinions of a small group of people who seem to think their opinion is more important than the rest of the site.
How difficult is it when you sign up to this competition to have a bit of integrity? a bit of common sense? a bit of respect for your fellow players?
And you know thats what kills me the most. Its clear the Icons (they all knew this was going to happen) have no respect for the other players in this competition and thats hard to take. Its F**king discraceful.
Louis parting gift isnt The Apprentiship. Louis parting gift is to screw over the only competition this site had that made people work together over a sustained period. And maybe he is happy about it? and if he is good riddance.

You got one peek inside a crooked and disfunctional H2H team. Theres plenty of people with integrity who want to play the game as intended. And that can be casual.
Hey guys haha. Let's compare the parks. Because that's what these comment sections are for and as someone who worked on the park, I'd really appreciate feedback based not on what happened, but on the parks isolated from the rest of the drama
