I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did, but just wow. I feel like I'd been to each area before, so it did take me down Memory Lane. So much of it was awesome, the go karts going round everything, the castle & maze, the pier area. It was all just brilliant. One of my favourites.

The section around Rush Hour was very cool, liked that area a lot, although I think you could have pushed it even further and had the queue wrap around a bit more and some more walkways to promote the busyness even further.

Rest of the map was okay and pleasant, but didn't stand out like the Rush Hour corner.

Really nicely done. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the maze area was scenario play and then from there the park grew into a more stylized building process?

The Pier Tram bridge was great too.

This really surprised me. Can't believe it was built totally without ZC! This is a contender for the win for me.

I loved this castle, it was great.
The karts going around everything is very cool.
The objects you used for me were very good, very nice. :D

I'm not sure I quite get the theme here, but that doesn't keep me from liking it. I think my favorite corner was the natural feeling one with the castle and maze. Very solid overall, and I think I get a hint of the keyword here. Maybe not as refined as some of the other entries, but it really shows some excellent tricks and skill in places. 60%

I like the ‘past connections’ concept. Nice hazy vignettes and good choice of go-karts for ‘memory lane’.

Thanks everyone. I didn't want to comment while the competition was still going, but thought I'd clear up some stuff now.

Much like IonZer0's entry, each area represented a place that I've visited in the past, usually as a family day out, and thus were memories for me. This was meant as the figurative "connectivity", linking me back to the memories of these times. For the more literal connection, these were all places that involved road travel to, so I put the go-karts as the main ride to resemble the roads and the journeys I took to get there. I think most of you picked up on this but, naturally, the more personal link went a bit overlooked.

@Louis: Thank you. I am very glad you felt this familiarity as, as a fellow Brit, I suppose you were the intended audience and could relate to the areas.

@trav: Thanks, and as you mention it, yes I agree, I did miss out on an opportunity to integrate the queue further. Some elevated walkways would certainly have enhanced the busyness and added some more interest beyond the ground level. Thanks for the suggestion.

@ottersalad: Cheers. But no, that's not quite right. The maze was a replica of the one at Hever Castle https://www.alamy.co...-163529191.html and the pier was from Southend-on-Sea https://www.alamy.co...pier-train.html (I'll mention all areas at the end). But thank you very much for taking the time to view and reflect on the submission, and it's interesting to hear a different interpretation of it.

@RWE: Thanks a lot, and yes it was :) Manually mowed grass too! Glad you liked it.

@MrTycoonCoaster: Thank you, although I'll mention below more about this building. Cheers for the review.

@CoasterCreator9: Glad you could appreciate it despite the obscurity of the theme/links. Yeah, I wanted to create some contrast between the areas of what is essentially a 4-corners park.

@alex: Thanks. I wasn't sure how many others would approach it this way, but it seemed like just IonZer0 and I did, so it was nice to have another for comparison but not too many to make the idea repetitive.

    The areas were:

Hever Castle, with the actual castle, some of its shops, one of its golf courses and bars, some replication of its grounds, and one of its 3 mazes.

Southend-on-Sea, hinting loosely at the rides from Adventure Island (and its previous incarnations of Peter Pan's Playground and a boating lake), and featuring "the world's longest pleasure pier". All shops and restaurants are actual ones from the town.

Windermere in the Lake District, with the large house I stayed in during a trip there and the nearby river that I often visited. Again, all shops are actual ones from the Main Road.

London, or rather an extremely loose version of it. I decided to be subtle, but as nobody has actually said the name I guess I was far too vague or just not quite skilled enough to pull it off. Either way, the main structure is a bastardisation of Big Ben/Elizabeth Tower and the Houses of Parliament, there's the Eye, the (Dockland's) Light Railway, a nod to the Underground trains, and the Rush Hour cars were black cabs. All shops are branded chains.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to review this, and to all those who took part in the competition. I had a great time with it!

I appreciate your comments above-- it gives a great overview of what's behind all these areas.  It was clear they all meant something, but I didn't quite know til reading there.

Thank you very much CedarPoint6. I ended up watching both the videos you posted (thus far) as I found it really interesting seeing the way in which you explored everyone's parks: the routes you took, the parts that held your interest, details that you picked up and perhaps missed, and ultimately how you viewed them differently to how I did. It's like looking at a park through another's eyes and it really kept me intrigued. Thank you for the in-depth review and kind words.
