Description
I wanted to make a big building, so I took the Capitol as inspiration, since it has an interesting shape. For the other buildings I used Alex and Andae23 as inspiration for layering. This got 2nd place for the DKMP single rail coaster contest.

Beautiful work, I really love your use of expansion scenery and how you combined it with vanilla scenery. Fun little layout too. My one gripe is that the harbor area looks a bit empty and could use some extra details aside from the coaster track, but otherwise a solid silver in my eyes.
the big building is great, so detailed but still clean. the coaster and surroundings are alright, bit reminiscent of alex's roman theme and feel a little tacked on. but not major complaints, still nice. just kind of hard to know how to vote maybe
Love the Capitol building, but I echo Cocoa's feeling of it having a whiff of Ancient Worlds about it, especially the theatre. Despite that still worth checking out, if not alone for that building. Looking forward to your next entry.
Definitely see the resemblance to other work. It's easy to see a copy of Ancient Worlds.. considering it's one of the most highly rated parks on the site! Despite that, I think this was a decent little entry. Grand architecture and the coaster layout was solid. I think it is exactly a layout RMC would make and for that I would think it's job well done. What's difficult as an overall package for me is that the coaster does feel a bit sorta plopped in the middle of a great study in architecture.. almost like the coaster is an afterthought.
This piece is technically quite nice. The main building is easily the highlight. The front half of the park was just an alex rip-off and seemed totally out of place next to the mai building. The coaster may as well not have been there (though I liked it), with barely any relation to the rest of the map. But yeah, that big palace is excellent. The combination of stretched out colosseum and the WWTT pieces for the dome works great. In other words I don't understand this map, but I appreciate the technical work done on the architecture.
The building is truly excellent, and on a larger map--one filled with structures that are entirely your design--that level of architectural quality would lend itself well to a high-scoring, highly praised map. You do seem to have a penchant for including others' buildings in your own work, which is not a negative quality in the RCT world--replication is a great way to learn techniques, and builders are generally pleased to see their influence in the work of others--but it does hurt your chances of winning an accolade. Now is the time for you to focus on Risiko's style and what makes it special!
