Path could use some borders or curbs, just something to keep it from being all flat.  Not really a fan of those rope fences your using in the middle and around the queue, especially the color able ones.  Maybe if you used balcony rails or Queue railings it would look better.

Still a good start, pretty unusual park that I doubt anyone has ever tried to recreate in RCT, so this should be interesting.

Cool use of the lamps on the brake run there! That's a nice realistic touch that I don't think I've seen before.

I like it but the station feels very underwhelming for some reason...

I love it. Not too sure on the bobsled awnings. The light tan looks a bit weird, try a darker brown, or even objects.

I'm just surprised to see you post something tim. Its a nice looking shot so far. I'd be great to see you keep going with this! You going for a whole park or a design here?

  • Lagom%s's Photo

I love that station. It looks so real.

I agree with BelgianGuy. The other building with the wave shaped roof is much more visually interesting... Why not use that on the station? Why does no one work with motifs anymore?

Also the bobsled awnings has become a horrible trope. It doesn't even look good.

I would like to +1 that the bobsled looks awkward.  Maybe even try using a single piece of curved track, the real queue cover looks like it has a similar look?

The station is certainly small but as a rec works fine.

@BG and Liam: the station is tiny irl, so it shouldn't be too exciting here. As to Liam's point, the wave in the station roof irl is so much more subtle than in the gift shop that it might not even be there, but you've given me an idea on how to make it work here, so I'm going to give it a try later.

As for the bobsled hate, there's really not much else that suits this purpose. It's meant to be a burlap/canvas queue cover, it's semi transparent, but not nearly so much as the netting objects. There's really nothing else that suits this purpose very well, but I can try a few other things.

@GForce: a lot of that is due to this not being quite finished, I really was anxious to post this last night. Silverwood does use rope fences all over, especially in their queues, so I'm going to be keeping that, but I may fix it up a bit on the exit path.

@bsg: maybe a design, maybe a park, maybe somewhere in between. Kinda depends on when my motivation starts cutting off.

I didn't know it was a rec... Still, doesn't make it any less unexciting.
  • Cocoa%s's Photo
You would haha. Looks good, although i cant imagine many people will have been there to appreciate the rec (or even know the ride exists :p )

Ps the foliage is almost perfect. Id reckon a bit more focus on those temperate northern stuff (eg less willow more pine and grass) but you probably know more than me

Woo, I started an NE trope!

    Cool tunnels!
This screen would look 100x times better with peeps and stuff on the paths.

  • inthemanual%s's Photo
Yeah, I'm actually trying to get this peeped earlier rather than later, because it'll have a lot more life, and because I can because I'm not starting with buildings and a landscape for once.

Peeps are always in my park as soon as the first brick is built. That way I can test what they like and don't like.

This is s'cute! I agree with Louis on the bobsled colors though.

A little rough around the edges, but I've been happy with how this is going so far, and wanted to post something.
