While I don't think the track itself looks to great (not the best flow), the supports are fantastic.

^ I agree. Some of the straights seem a little awkward and break up the smoothness. But I like the colours - very vibrant, and the support work is good too.

About the foliage, I think you've got a nice selection. The streak of long grass looks good and the clustered area by the water is off to a fine start too, but I think that a bit more layering would help, i.e. surrounding taller trees with smaller ones, smaller bushes around them, and finally low brush around the edges. You've started that in places, but there's opportunity to go further and really fill out the foliage areas. In general, I think it's lone tress that look out of place and less believable.

Thanks, ill try to do that more. I know lone trees look weird, but what are your thoughts about 'planted' trees by homosapiens and do I need to do the same to them as with the other foilage?

I actually do not think your foliage is as poor as you think it is. I agree with Choco, vary the trees more down by the waters edge and add underbrush. Maybe add more colors to the trees, more light green perhaps.

Support work is really nice and I love how the ride is framed by the nearby entrance toll.

Foliage could be a bit better but this looks really promising.

    Well done. :)

Foliage is about transition. Sparse, low bushes -> taller, denser bushes -> small trees -> tall trees.

I think you have the foliage down, to be honest. It's basically what Stoksy said. You just need to cut down (heh) on the repetitiveness. Placing the same bush/tree twice next to eachother doesn't look good nor natural. That is a problem in the middle and down section of the screen. There's no flow in the foliage because of this and that looks weird.

The bits around the fence are sloppy in a completely different way. They look as if you've just randomly placed down some stuff. You can make smaller foliage like those flow more by placing a lot of them in one spot, then placing them around the spot but decreasing in density. You can also try and colour bits of the object in the colour of the bushes to make them blend in with those more.

Alright, I did my best. Thanks for the help.

Better but there the area near the top and the very middle is a little lackluster, just keep experimenting and practicing with foliage, it takes quite a while to get the hang of in my opinion.

I feel you should make a tunnel is that is more creative then that. Other then that I love this coaster!

  • phann%s's Photo

What do you mean with lackluster? Can you make a screen of how it would be better? :D And ill take a look at the tunnel.

  • G Force%s's Photo
Just kind of lacks appeal and isn't that interesting. Some of the bases to the tree trunks are bare which is a little odd, and its seems a little inconsistent. Replicate more of what you did I inside the first turn at the top of the new screen and it will look a lot better.

Layout seems a bit square... Maybe replace those two sloping curves with just a diagonal hill? Without having seen the coaster in motion I figure it would go pretty fast at that point and those curves would be quite rough...

Besides that I like this. The tunnel is nice.

I agree that the tunnel looks boring. A more natural look would be much more fitting here. At least cover up the entrance and exit with some (artificial) rockwork.

I disagree with G Force's foliage comments. Nothing wrong with free standing trees. Wild, dense patches of foliage aren't always more realistic and credible in my opinion. I do think you have to choose an appraoch though, so in that regard G Force is right that it is inconsistent. Go with wild untended foliage, or a cleaner park like style. And if you do use both I think you need to make it clear where the gardened part of the park ends and where the wilder natural stuff starts.
