i'm not sure i understand the park concept, although I'm very intrigued. How exactly does this work? is it not a park I would be able to download and see?

Wow, thanks guys, I’m so glad you guys like it!

@ITM & FK - yes that is the skull, used for the giant samurai head inside the helmet. It’s meant to be a huge samurai robot from a prior war, and these remnants are scattered on the map.

@cocoa - everything here is as it is in the sv6, so it can be downloaded, besides the little label that comes from the original artwork it’s named after. The canvas background rotates with the park so it always looks like a flat screen print with a 3D-moving park on top. That said the readme will feature 36 shots that may have colors/backgrounds not in the final park. Also that pagoda top isn’t my object, so should be available.

Having a hard time understanding this screen.
Surely it's good and of course it's better than I'll ever could build, but it just doesn't make sense to me why this screen in particular has such a high rating.

    Eh.

Other than that, it looks good, technically and aesthetically. Good one.

  • Description

This is an experimental project, that features a single park set on a rotating canvas to create four main "prints," and thirty six main shots of the city. Drawing from the Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji as inspiration and built in an attempt to create a park done in Ukiyo-e art style, the city is set in the future floating on the borders of space.

(uses the Action Palette for this shot, but each 'view' may be adjusted palette-wise to create the 36 prints to be featured in a readme).
