The drop supports look fantastic, even better than in vanilla. What a flex.

I love those vertical track supports! Looks a lot like Iron Rattler's drop. Are those part of the track sprite?

Yes, they are part of the track sprite. Most of my supports are, as it's the easiest way to do things - the only support sprites that are actually separate are the large steep-to-flat supports, which I made separate for consistency with the default wooden supports.

The autogenerated supports do not work on verticals and inversions, so the supports for these track pieces are modelled by hand. I'm currently working on quarter loops.

Quite nice. Think track looks too much like rubber/chewing gum now? Not sure what glossiness parameters you can tweak.

The specular is broken at the moment. Basically, when I export models from Blender, it writes incredibly high values of the specular exponent.

Before, I was editing the .mtl file to set specular exponent manually, but I made changes to the objects and haven't got around to redoing it.

Wow, I didn’t realize how much of an improvement this is until I went through your old RMC screens again and just.... damn. The track rails are an improvement in my opinion, looks like you’ve adjusted their dimensions slightly? Might be my eyes playing tricks on me haha. The cross bracing and how it connects to the supports is obviously fantastic and I’m blown away that you’ve gone through the effort to make it look so nice. Especially around the curved sections!

If I were to offer any feedback, the only thing I’d say is the the thinner track ties almost seem a tad too thin, maybe widen them by a pixel or two?

Thanks for sharing and creating this, the community really appreciates what you’ve added and I’m sure we’ll love your future releases and creations.

Since the last screenshot I posted here (which was two years ago), they have been completely redone - the new one is done as accurately I can with reference to photographs, the same way I make train models.

Recently, I decided to change the scale of the sprites from 3.67m per tile to 3.3m per tile, so the new sprites are also about 10% wider than the old. I'm not really sure of this value - I tried measuring sprites and got all manner of different answers, I tried 3m per tile but that just looked too large so I decided to go for something in between.

They are to scale, but I may oversize them slightly so they show up better.

From this angle and with this color scheme it looks pretty good ... but it still needs work to look good from all angles.
