I don't see many people here talking about their favorite live shows. I know there's a lot of music freaks here, so what have you seen that totally made you go apeshit? or something that dropped your jaw to the floor?

Just a quick grasp at mine (in order):
    Daft Punk
    Flaming Lips
    Bob Hund
    Arcade Fire
    Radiohead
    Justice
    Spleen United
    Vive la fete
    Enter Shikari
    Madonna
    Underworld
    Jay-z
    Franz Ferdinand

I would probably change a lot if i give this more thought, i know i'm missing something. I also wish that i stayed longer during The Knife back in '06 which looked cool and a really nice album. Oh and i wish i'd seen Mode Selektor while paying attention to it. I actually do remember being 'there' i just don't remember listening to music..

Probably missing something that I really loved..

So what are your good live experiences and why?

    On big stages:

Radiohead (meant the most to me, without a doubt)
    R.E.M.
    Nine Inch Nails
Iggy and the Stooges (STAGE RUSH!!!)
    Muse
    Pearl Jam
    Modest Mouse
    Rage Against the Machine
Metallica (actually a little disappointing, but still excellent; their openers were AWFUL).
    The National
    Bloc Party

    Smaller acts:
    Saturday Looks Good To Me
    Mason Proper
The Hard Lessons (Probably the best show I've ever seen, or ever will see... Smokey club, insane energy level, arms reach of performers... Simple, straight-forward, human excitement. Seeing them again this today (much later) and/or tomorrow).

If you EVER get the opportunity to see the Hard Lessons, particularly in a club, DO IT.

    Oh I forgot to put:

Fatboy Slim - at every one of his Beach Boutiques so far.

    Fedde Le Grand
David La Guetta - Both awesome in a club atmosphere and big stage.

Saw the Hard Lessons again last next.

Despite impossibly high expectations it was a religious experience. Helps that we were right in the front...

I don't get what people see in Muse's stage act. Seriously, what's so great about it?

youre right. what is so great about them?

i think its their ability to control a crowd, without even asking, their stage presence, their total energy. people just feel where theyre coming from.
there are alot of acts wich are good in studio, but let us down abit live. i personaly think muse cover all bases.

    thats just my oppinion

    :)
